“In Luke 13:31-35, Jesus stands undeterred by fear, carrying out His mission of love, healing, and hope—even when faced with danger. When warned of Herod’s threats, He doesn’t retreat. Instead, He proclaims that His work will continue until fulfilled.

In this passage, Jesus’ journey to Jerusalem symbolizes our own callings, reminding us to move forward with purpose, no matter the obstacles. His lament over Jerusalem—‘How often I have longed to gather your children together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings’—speaks to His longing to protect and embrace us if we’ll let Him. Jesus’ courage and compassion invite us to live boldly, trusting in His care, and to press on toward the purpose He’s placed within us.”
