Rinzai-ji Zen Center is an urban meditation center that offers daily Zazen (sitting meditation) practice and the opportunity for residential Zen practice. Rinzai-ji is an international branch of Myoshin-ji and serves as the home temple of an organization founded by Joshu Sasaki Roshi. The mission of Rinzai-ji is to serve the local and regional community as a place for Zen studies, a place for refl

ection and insight. The spacious Zendo invites everyone to participate in the formal Zazen practice, to join their voices in the daily recitation and chanting practice, and to sit together in Zazen. There are many ways in which one can engage at Rinzai-ji and everyone is welcome to join our community starting with a Newcomers Class as a gateway.
