For over sixty years, we have been serving the Jewish community of Los Angeles by honoring the deceased and serving the living with all of the respect dictated by our Jewish heritage and tradition. Mount Sinai is dedicated to the Jewish community as a service of Sinai Temple of Los Angeles and we are sensitive to the languages, customs and traditions of every segment of our community.

Tomorrow is International Day of Charity.

On this day, we’re reminded that caring for a community means showing up for one another—in moments of joy, in times of loss, and in all the moments in between.

At Mount Sinai Memorial Parks and Mortuaries, giving back is an extension of our mission. Through community partnerships, education, grief support, and meaningful programs, we are proud to help strengthen and care for the community we have served for generations.

In his words: "What a phenomenal evening at Sinai Temple for the premiere of Tovah — a wonderful documentary directed by David Serero exploring the extraordinary life and career of actress, philanthropist, and activist Tovah Feldshuh.

I learned so much about Tovah’s remarkable life and career, and, of course, she had me laughing throughout the evening. She is every bit as funny, brilliant, candid, and captivating as you would imagine.

Following the film, Tovah joined Rabbi Nicole Guzik and David Serero for a conversation, which was such a wonderful way to end the evening.

And to make the night even more special, Adam Brody was there as well — he plays Tovah’s son on Nobody Wants This. It was quite a star-studded evening! I will always remember Adam as Seth Cohen on the OC!

Most of all, it was inspiring to hear about Tovah’s commitment to being an actress. Her philanthropy, activism, and giving back. What a beautiful reminder of how much one person can accomplish while still bringing joy and laughter to those around them.

A special Beatles Shabbat memory! 🎶✡️

For 13 years, Josh T. Ryan has been a dedicated Advance Planning Advisor to his congregation. Here he is with his children, enjoying a wonderful evening of music, family, and Jewish tradition at Beatles Shabbat.

The evening featured a rockin’ Shabbat service led by Rabbi Rosner, with musical guests Sgt. Schlepper’s Friday Night Club Band.
