Some thoughts as we enter the holiday season. It is important to remember that not everyone is looking forward to Christmas. Some people are not surrounded by large wonderful families. Some of us have problems during the holidays and are overcome with great sadness when we remember the loved ones who are not with us. For many it is their first Christmas without a particular loved one and many others lost loved ones at Christmas. And, many people have no one to spend these times with and are besieged by loneliness. We all need caring, loving thoughts right now. If I don't see your name, I'll understand. May I ask my friends wherever you might be, to kindly post this status for one hour to give a moment of support to all those who have family problems, health struggles, job issues, worries of any kind and just need to know that someone cares. Do it for all of us, for nobody is immune. I hope to see this on the walls of all my friends just for moral support. I did it for a friend and you can too! Forty-seven years ago today when Gene and I were married, we did not know Jesus as our Lord and savior!. Ii was quite a struggle. We thank God for the people that He put in our lives that lead us to Him!! We encourage you to put Christ at the center of your marriage, in good times and not so good times. If you are single, we pray that you will trust the Lord to help you choose your mate. Our prayer is that each of you will have the love and happiness that we have through our Lord Jesus Christ, all these years that we have served Him.

We participated in Missionary Orientation this past week. It was a wonderful time. There are so many people feeling the call on their lives to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. Our involvement was with the married couples. We lead them through Prepare-Enrich couple checkup. They were all so eager to make their marriages all they could be, enabling them to better serve in the field. It was a really good day!!
