SUNDAY AT HOPELAND! 🙌🏾

There’s nothing like gathering together! ❤️

It’s a time to worship, pray, connect, and grow together in the presence of Jesus.

This Sunday we share in Communion and remember Jesus, the Bread of Life.

And don’t rush out after service! We’re sticking around for “Bread of Life & Other Breads” - We’ll hang out, laugh together, and share some snacky foods. See ya on Sunday at 11am! ❤️🙂⛪️

The Fear of the Lord Part 2: The Madness of Self-Worship

What happens when we forget that God is God and begin to believe our own greatness? In Part 2 of The Fear of the Lord series, we look at the story of King Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4 and discover how pride can blind us to our dependence on God. Through the king’s humbling experience, we learn that self-sufficiency is an illusion, pride has consequences, and true peace begins when we acknowledge God’s sovereignty. The fear of the Lord calls us to look up, walk in humility, and recognize that everything we have comes from Him. And the good news? God is not just a God who humbles us—He is a God who restores us when we turn back to Him.

The Fear of the Lord Part 1: The Hebrew Midwives

What happens when the fear of God becomes greater than the fear of people? In this opening message of The Fear of the Lord series, we look at the Hebrew midwives in Exodus 1, who courageously disobeyed Pharaoh’s wicked command because they feared God. Their story reminds us that the fear of the Lord establishes our moral boundaries, gives us courage to stand for what is right, and keeps eternity in view when the pressure to compromise is real. Whose voice carries the most weight in your life? We are called to honor God above the approval of people and to make a difference in our world, even when it comes at a cost.
