Peter's Italian Church is the National Italian parish for Southern California. It was established as a mission church for the spiritual assistance of the Italian people in the spring of 1904. Peter's has been a home for many where they could experience comfort, guidance, enlightenment, and family life in a true spirit of welcome and togetherness as well as celebrating the sacraments with much fait

h in the spirit of their culture and traditions. As a Catholic parish we are committed to value our historical heritage, to nurture the faith of God's people by serving the Italian population and, in a universal spirit, continue embracing all those who wish to come and celebrate with us their faith as a true Christian family. St. Peter's Casa Italiana

Casa Italiana, founded in 1972, is the home of the Italian community of Los Angeles and a great place for those who wish to celebrate with good Italian food in a nice Italian environment. Casa Italiana is St. Peter's Church Hall and the home place of many Italian organizations. It is used for multiple activities: retreat, formation, evangelization programs, social events and banquets. If you are associated with any of our organizations, we encourage you to attend regularly the monthly dinner-meetings and be an active member. 🙏Prayer for all the Gifts of the Holy Spirit

O Lord Jesus Christ Who, before ascending into heaven did promise to send the Holy Ghost to finish Thy work in the souls of Thine Apostles and Disciples, deign to grant the same Holy Spirit to me that He may perfect in my soul, the work of Thy grace and Thy love. Grant me the Spirit of Wisdom that I may despise the perishable things of this world and aspire only after the things that are eternal, the Spirit of Understanding to enlighten my mind with the light of Thy divine truth, the Spirit of Counsel that I may ever choose the surest way of pleasing God and gaining heaven, the Spirit of Fortitude that I may bear my cross with Thee and that I may overcome with courage all the obstacles that oppose my salvation, the Spirit of Knowledge that I may know God and know myself and grow perfect in the science of the Saints, the Spirit of Piety that I may find the service of God sweet and amiable, the Spirit of Fear that I may be filled with a loving reverence towards God and may dread in any way to displease Him. Mark me, dear Lord, with the sign of Thy true disciples and animate me in all things with Thy Spirit. Amen.

Pope Leo XIV has accepted the retirement of Bishop Alejandro “Alex” Aclan, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, upon reaching the retirement age of 75.

For years, Bishop Alex has faithfully served the people of Los Angeles with humility, compassion, and devotion to Christ and His Church. Please join us in thanking him for his many years of ministry and praying for him as he begins this new chapter.
