Wonderful to celebrate the 555th Gurpurab of Guru Nanak. Thanks to all members of sangat in attendance. We also acknowledge volunteers who made this event a success.

We were joined in the celebration by Councilmember Nithya Raman’s field deputy Jennifer Hull, California Governor Gavin Newsom’s Deputy Director of External Affairs Vishesh Anand, President of Interreligious Council of Southern California Swami Mahayogananda, Guru Ram Das Ashram , and our partners.

Thanks to all the Sangat who shared in our festivities as we celebrated Gurpurab in our Gurdwara Sahib yesterday. We were joined in celebration by members of the LAPD, Neighborhood Council and our neighbors. Thanks to numerous volunteers who made this event a success!

With Waheguru's blessings, Hollywood Sikh Temple (Vermont Gurdwara Sahib) has been designated as a Historic Cultural Monument in a unanimous vote by the Los Angeles City Council.

This is a momentous achievement for our Gurdwara Sahib and the Sikh Community of Los Angeles. It is a shining beacon and an example of inclusivity, compassion and community in a city that values its rich cultural diversity.

Thanks to Dr. Amarjit Singh Marwah, and his late wife Mrs. Kuljit K. Marwah, for their generous contribution and tireless efforts of Tejpaul Singh Bainiwal and Dr. Sharon Sekhon in getting this designation. We also want to thank everyone who was present at the City Hall Council Chamber in support including, but not limited to, Sangat members and our entire management committee.

We can never forget the unending support, contributions, and selfless service of congregants, supporters, volunteers, and management committee members (past and present) in making this Gurdwara Sahib a home to many, over several decades.

We also express our deep appreciation to Councilmember Nithya Raman for recognizing and supporting our efforts and welcoming us in the Chamber Hall.
