Corpus Christi

Today, the Church joyfully proclaims a truth that has been believed, celebrated, and adored for centuries: Jesus Christ is truly present in the Holy Eucharist.

The Blessed Sacrament is not merely a symbol or a reminder of Christ. It is Christ Himself — Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity — given to us out of His infinite love. In every celebration of the Holy Mass, the bread and wine are transformed into the living presence of the Lord, who remains with His people until the end of time.

Before the Eucharist, we stand before the same Jesus who was born in Bethlehem, preached the Gospel, healed the sick, died on the Cross, rose from the dead, and reigns in glory. He is truly here.

The Eucharist is the heart of the Church, the source of our strength, the food of eternal life, and the greatest treasure entrusted to humanity. Through this sacred mystery, Christ nourishes our souls, deepens our communion with Him, and fills us with the grace needed to live the Gospel each day.

On this Solemnity of Corpus Christi, may our hearts be renewed in faith, reverence, and gratitude for the priceless gift of the Holy Eucharist. Let us adore Him, love Him, and proclaim to the world that Jesus Christ is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament.

“O Sacrament Most Holy, O Sacrament Divine, all praise and all thanksgiving be every moment Thine.”

With hearts full of gratitude, we thank all those who dedicated their time, talents, and love to help prepare the beautiful Corpus Christi carpets at Blessed Sacrament Church in Kansas City, Kansas.

This day was marked by joy, fraternity, prayer, and a profound spirit of faith. Together, we transformed our devotion into a visible expression of love and reverence for Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Eucharist.

Every detail, every flower, every color, and every prayer offered during this preparation reflects our desire to honor the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, who will pass through these sacred paths in the Eucharistic Procession.

May this celebration renew our faith and deepen our love for Christ, truly present in the Blessed Sacrament.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this beautiful testimony of faith possible.

Today, the Church celebrates the miracle of all miracles: Jesus truly present: Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity in the Most Holy Eucharist.

As friars living radical poverty, the Eucharist is our source and summit. It is what sustains our mission among the poor in Los Angeles.

When we kneel before the altar, we are reminded: the same Lord who feeds us in the Eucharist sends us forth to feed others.
Happy Solemnity of Corpus Christi! May His Presence always guide us.

Every day, our friars walk the streets of Los Angeles not as spectators, but as Real ministers.
They share bread, listen, pray, and remain present. Because the poor are our brothers and sisters to be loved.
This is the mission God has entrusted to us: to be poor among the poor, for the poor.
Walk with us. Your support helps suport our missionaries Friars where they are needed most.

Today, with hearts full of gratitude, we give thanks to God for another anniversary of our mission in Birmingham, Alabama.

Throughout these years, we have witnessed the gentle and faithful hand of Divine Providence guiding every step, opening doors, touching hearts, and sustaining this mission beyond what we could have imagined.

What has been accomplished is not our work alone, but a testimony to God’s faithfulness and the generosity of so many who have journeyed alongside us through their prayers, sacrifices, service, and support.

As we celebrate this milestone, we renew our desire to belong entirely to Christ, serving His people with humility, joy, and a spirit of Franciscan fraternity.

May the Lord continue to bless this mission and all those who make it possible, as together we seek to proclaim the Gospel and make His love known.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His mercy endures forever.” (Psalm 136:1)

Today we give thanks to God for the anniversary of our mission in Birmingham, Alabama.

Throughout this time, we have witnessed the action of Divine Providence in every detail.

Every step of this mission is the fruit of God’s faithfulness, as well as the generosity of so many who walk with us — supporting, praying, and serving.

We continue with hearts full of gratitude and openness, desiring each day to be entirely His.

On the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, we are invited to contemplate the central mystery of our faith: one God who is perfect communion of love — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

It is not a distant mystery, but a living reality that reaches us and embraces us. We were created, redeemed and called to live in this love.

Our vocation also springs from this reality: from communion with God and from being sent forth to love and serve, especially to the poorest.

May the Most Holy Trinity teach us to live in unity, surrender, and true love.

Every calling begins with a single step.

Sometimes it comes as a quiet desire. Other times as a deeper restlessness… but in every case, it is God who takes the initiative and invites us to listen.

With this in mind, we have created a vocational page: a simple yet profound space where you can learn more about our mission, spirituality, and begin your journey of discernment.

If this call touches your heart, do not put it off.
