Our church is a place where people come to give and to receive the love of God, a church which teaches the Word of God. The Great “I AM” Faith Center's genesis came in 1985, where the now Pastor Melvin Silas received the vision from God, “A church without walls”. After much run
ning from the call, Pastor Silas finally stopped and obeyed the call, vision, and mission God gave him. Thus, God provided all the necessary administration, tools and laid the foundations for the Faith center to be birthed. In 2009, Pastor Melvin Silas knew that the preparation time was complete and the planning time needed to begin. After much praying, planning and preparation Pastor Silas brought together a team of fellow Christians at his home purposing to do the will of God and complete the vision he had been given. The vision not only included “A church without walls” but a mission to prepare and equip men and women to walk in the anointing that was ordained for them by God and to encourage them to align themselves with the greatness in which they were created. On January 10, 2010, under the committed and dedicated leadership of Pastor Melvin Silas, The Great “I AM” Faith Center opened its doors and has its first service in the city of Bellflower California , the church was later moved to the city of Los Angeles where it is currently located and has continued to thrive ever since. The Great “I AM” Faith Center is producing, training and equipping many Leaders in the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Church was given the following TWO MANDATES from God:
1st God Given Mandate: The Great “I AM” Faith Center is to reach those which have been hurt, disappointed, mistreated, misused and misguided within the church body. They are to be RECOVERED, RESTORED, and REPLENISHED through love and the teaching of the Word of God.
2nd God Given Mandate: The Great “I AM” Faith Center is to seek out the LOST beginning with the surrounding neighborhood, then the city, the state, and throughout the world, in that order. We are to reach them through Television, Radio, Street Evangelism, Internet, and one on one personal evangelism. The Great “I AM” Faith Center was built by a FAITHFUL God, Through a FAITHFUL Pastor, with the Help of FAITHFUL people. WE HOPE TO HAVE YOU JOIN US IN ONE OF OUR SERVICE. THIS YEAR IS OUR 2ND YEAR ALL PRAISE AND GLORY TO GOD
