LET’S CELEBRATE! 🎉🥳

Today is RON’S BIRTHDAY!!!

Ron is our Co Executive Director and for YEARS has faithfully served God in Hollywood through evangelism, training others in evangelism, and through loving every person who has come through the doors of Oasis.

Ron is funny, a protector (ask him how he got the nickname “Ron-Bo”), wise, and selfless. He has been and continues to be a great role model to so many young men.

Ron, we are grateful for your life and so happy that God brought you to Hollywood. We love you, happy birthday!!!

BACKPACKS for an ENTIRE school! 🙌🏽🫶🏼

We got to partner with Lockwood Elementary today to provide backpacks for every single student! 🎒📚 Each of those bags is holding DOZENS of backpacks.

We also got to bring canned goods & chips so that every tummy stays fed!

Our goal this year was to provide a backpack for every student in Hollywood- we haven’t reached it yet, but today we got one whole school closer 🙂

So blessed to serve in this amazing city! God is sooo good & deeply loves LA- and so do we! 💙

This Summer, we had mission teams from Texas, Wisconsin, and Minnesota join us for the Hollywood Mission Trip.

Each team had a tremendous impact on Hollywood:

-New Creation World Outreach Churchserved at our free Soccer Camp

-West End Church prepped for our Back To School Outreach & served at the event

-Ridgeway Church served at Kidz Klub and led worship & testimonies at Oasis Youth

And all in between, each team served meals to those living on Skid Row, evangelized on Hollywood Blvd, MacArthur Park, and all throughout LA.

We are incredibly grateful for every selfless person that took a week to come serve LA- it was not in vain & made an eternal impact. 🤍

One HMT attendee summed up her week so beautifully:

“This trip taught me to get out of my comfort zone, because my comfort zone wasn’t keeping me safe, it was keeping me small.” 🙌🏽

Summer is often remembered for vacations- but for three Oasis Youth students, this summer will always be remembered for something even greater: transformation.

Yesterday, these 3 young men declared their faith in Jesus through baptism at the beach--Leaving behind their old lives and stepping into the new life He has for them.
