The desire to have friends & a community to belong to are real & valid. We were created for community. A lack of it can feel devastating. The good news is that: 1) God understands, and 2) He hears. While walking this earth, Jesus was consistently mis-understood & mis-treated. At the end of His life, He was betrayed & rejected by His closest friends. If you’re feeling lonely, know that God empathizes (Hebrews 4:15), and that He longs to give you community. Speaking from personal experience, the prayer for Godly friends & community is one that God answers.

Last night at Encounter, we talked about why we NEED JESUS!

We were created to live in a relationship with God- and until we find that relationship, we live with what can feel like an emptiness, a void– something missing. When Jesus says that He is the bread of life (John 6:35), He’s filling us in on Who can truly satisfy us: Himself. He gives us meaning & purpose, and gives us right standing with God The Father through His life, death, and resurrection. He satisfies every need we could ever have.
