Sephardic Temple Tifereth Israel

Sephardic Temple Tifereth Israel Sephardic Temple is a modern synagogue in the Sephardic tradition in Los Angeles.

It maintains its own unique blend of authentic traditional Judaism with openness to the opportunities and challenges of modern life. A Sephardic synagogue where tradition meets modern American Jewish religious expression. Founded by a small group of Sephardic, Ladino speaking immigrants in 1920, we have grown into a full service congregation, with a membership representing a diverse international cultural background, including Sepharadim and Ashkenazim.

Chodesh Tov! 🌙

We welcome Rosh Chodesh Sivan, the beginning of a new month in the Jewish calendar, a time of renewal, reflection, and fresh beginnings.

Rosh Chodesh, which literally means “head of the month,” marks the appearance of the new moon and invites us to reset and realign for the weeks ahead.

The month of Sivan is especially meaningful, it’s the month in which the Jewish people arrived at Mount Sinai and prepared to receive the Torah. It’s a time deeply connected to unity, as the Jewish people came together “as one heart.”

As we enter this new month, may we embrace opportunities for growth, connection, and purpose.

✨ Wishing you a month filled with clarity, blessing, and togetherness.

Chodesh Tov! 💙
