March's Ancestor Service finally got going Monday evening, due to the extra wind we had making it unsafe to set that many candles out at once. Because of the unusually large number of recently-deceased people I did work for, including several who did not die peacefully, I was asked (via divination) not to take any photos of the work directly this time, so I did not. Today I asked at least for permission to take an image of the working table with the fireproof box on it, just for a proof of life, and they did let me do that although unlike previous times they did not want me to open the box. I also had to take most of the offerings (that aren't in the box with the candles) to a cemetery, where they wanted me to approach other spirits for help on this month's elevations.
When I do work for the recently dead or the unpeacefully dead/those who need justice to rest, it is something very intense and usually they do not want anyone other than me to look at it, because it is very intense and contextual for the ancestors. Basically the idea is those people have suffered enough and the rest of the dead do not want them to become objectified. This is a very holy part of the work that I do and so I follow the ancestors' lead on it. And it's why different months have different photos and/or videos sometimes, that is entirely done with the permission of the dead and if they say no, I don't.
