DAY 7 — IN SINCERITY AND TRUTH 🙏🏽

📖 Scripture: Joshua 24:14

“Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth…”

DEVOTIONAL
Joshua calls Israel to serve the Lord in sincerity and truth—with wholeness and reality.

Sincerity is not emotional intensity; it is undivided integrity. Truth is not vague sincerity; it is alignment with God’s revealed will.

A decision without sincerity can become hypocrisy.
A decision without truth can become deception.

God is calling us beyond appearances and into a life that is genuine, whole, and obedient.

💭 REFLECTION
• Is your service to God whole, or compartmentalized?
• Do your private decisions match your public profession?

🙏🏽 PRAYER
“Lord, make my devotion whole and my obedience true. Expose any part of my life that lives in pretense. Amen.”

✨ ACTION
Identify one hidden area where your life contradicts your confession. Bring it into the light by confessing it to God and, if appropriate, to a trusted believer.

Choose sincerity. Walk in truth. Serve God wholeheartedly. ❤️

📖 SCRIPTURE: JAMES 1:8; JOSHUA 24:15

💭 DEVOTIONAL:
A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways. Refusing to choose the Lord fully is not neutrality; it is quiet rebellion. The enemy does not need your overt betrayal; he settles for your passive delay. Decision is the end of excuses and the beginning of stability.

🔎 REFLECTION:
How has double-mindedness shown up in your schedule, relationships, or finances?
What are you afraid might happen if you fully choose the Lord?

🙏🏽 PRAYER:
“Father, forgive my double-mindedness. Establish my heart in single devotion to You. Align my feelings with my decision to follow Christ. Amen.”

🎯 ACTION:
Pick one inconsistent area (giving, serving, time with God) and define a clear, sustainable commitment.

“as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD”

💭 DEVOTIONAL:
Joshua does not merely make a private decision; he sets a family trajectory. He cannot believe for them, but he can lead before them. Decision, in a leader, becomes direction for those watching. Households are shaped less by slogans on the wall and more by choices at the table.

🔎 REFLECTION:
What climate does your decision create in your home?
Where have you abdicated spiritual leadership in your household?

🙏🏽 PRAYER:
“Lord, make me a Joshua in my house. Let my choices set a holy tone and create space for my family to follow You. Amen.”

🎯 ACTION:
Initiate one intentional spiritual practice in your home today (family prayer, Scripture reading, or conversation about God’s faithfulness).

“The gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell”

💭 DEVOTIONAL:
The gods of the Amorites were the deities of the neighborhood, the cultural defaults. Today, these are the unspoken assumptions of the age: autonomy, relativism, sensuality, consumerism. They do not demand formal worship; they only require quiet imitation. Decision means refusing to let your surroundings define your standards.

🔎 REFLECTION:
Where has the culture around you subtly set your expectations?
What practices in your life look more Amorite than apostolic?

🙏🏽 PRAYER:
“Holy Spirit, open my eyes to the ways I have conformed to the gods of this land. Give me the courage to be different where You call me to be holy. Amen.”

Our age is full of options—success, comfort, pleasure, image. But options are not answers. The heart can’t serve multiple allegiances; the one you actually follow reveals your true devotion. The Spirit leads us to reduce many options down to one loyalty: God alone.

• What “options” compete with your devotion to God
• How have you tried to keep multiple loyalties alive

🙏 Prayer:
“Father, reveal the rival options occupying my heart. Help me distinguish between what is available and what is worthy of my worship. Amen.”
