Good Morning

Words are powerful. A careless word can leave a lasting wound, while an encouraging word can change the course of someone's day… or even their life. This week in our Everyday Believers series, we meet Barnabas, a man whose reputation was built on encouraging others in their faith. Stay tuned as we're reminded that you don't have to be a famous leader or gifted speaker to make a difference. God loves to do extraordinary things through ordinary believers who simply encourage others and point them to Jesus.

This week, we were blessed to be assigned YuGeng (Jerry) Yang to be our vicar (student pastor). He is very excited to serve here at Hope in Los Angeles! Tentatively, he will arrive in the first half of August, and we expect his first Sunday at Hope to be on August 16. The vicarage will last for one year.

Please pray for Jerry on his upcoming trip to visit his home of Beijing this summer, and for safe travels on his way to LA in August. We are looking forward to meeting you, Jerry!!

Join us tomorrow at 10am for our Palm Sunday worship service, with special guest singers--the preschoolers!

Tomorrow also marks the beginning of Holy Week. We will have services on Good Friday (7pm) and Easter Sunday (10am).

We hope to see you at one (or all) of these special services as we reflect on the humble King who came to save.
