As we enter the Summer months, it’s important that we take time to rest and reflect on the year we’ve had and the rest of the year to come. At SABBATH, we honor rest and refuse to compromise on this important command. We also honor family and friendship. It’s for this reason, that we take time to rest and enjoy those around us without the pressing obligation of ministerial work. Even Jesus took time to get away, so why would we not do the same?
Some will still gather at their homes to sing, have Bible study and the like. I encourage you to continue in the faith you’ve been taught and honor the loving and caring principles you’ve learned already. Reach out to others during this time. Expand your table. Enjoy your family. Create new memories. We’ll have time to get back to the field to harvest. At this time, let’s take our rest seriously.
