Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Lazarus. A powerful reminder that no situation is beyond God’s mercy. Even in the face of death, Christ brings new life, hope, and restoration.

May we trust Him to call us out of whatever tombs we find ourselves in today.

DEO GRATIAS: The annual Grand Prioral Council for the Grand Priory of the United States as concluded. A fraternal thanks to the hard working members in the Commandery of the Southwest who planned an amazing gathering in San Antonio! We give thanks to God for bringing our newly initiated Postulants to our Order. Please join us in praying for all those who are new to the Ordee and those who were promoted to leadership positions!

FRANGENDUM PANEM: A wonderful evening at the Commandery of the West’s annual summer dinner. We were honored to have John Byrnes, the Grand Prior of the Grand Priory of America, join us to break bread and give a “State of Order” to those present.

Some wonderful news was shared about the work of the Order. Most notably that one of our own in the West, Chevalier Ryan Burke, will be installed as Chancellor of the Grand Priory of America. Essentially, he is “Number 3” in the chain of command in the United States for the Order. Please join us in congratulating and praying for him as he humbly moves forward in this role. It is a great undertaking that is entered into voluntarily, but out of obedience and in fulfillment of the sacred vow he took, like all Lazarites, to serve.

On December 14th members, family, and friends of the Order gathered for the Annual Vespers and dinner. It was an evening of prayer and camaraderie!

It is with joy and a warm fraternal hug that we welcome all new members of the Order! The Investiture Service took place in Newport Beach, CA and a gala followed. Thank you to all those who worked to make this an amazing weekend!
