My spiritual father is the most pure, humble, and Christlike man I have ever met, and by far. This September, it will be ten years that I’ve known him and been mentored by him. A good tree does not bear bad fruit (Matthew 7:18). He is surely a good tree and an immense blessing to my life, the Body of Christ, and the world.
I stand with him and always will, because he is a true prophet and is pure through and through. His purity has been an example for me, and God has used him greatly to make me more pure and humble.
Learning about the Bible-come-alive persecution he has endured throughout over 40 years of ministry has helped keep me strong through my own battles, as I have seen the faithfulness of God in his life to always bring victory over the enemy’s schemes.
I am so grateful for him, and I count it an immense privilege to stand with him, honor him, and thank God for the gift he is to my life and to the Body of Christ.
GEORDAVIE’S RESPONSE TO ACCUSATIONS:
I categorically deny the allegations that have been made against me.
English is my third language, and I come from Tanzania, where we often communicate very directly and openly. When someone reaches out to me for prayer concerning a specific matter, my intention is to understand clearly what they are asking prayer for and to address that matter directly in prayer. I speak plainly so there is understanding between both people and so I can pray specifically for what has been requested.
There was never any inappropriate, sexual, or improper intention behind my words or actions. What may be understood differently within American culture was, from my cultural and linguistic understanding, direct communication concerning the specific matter for which prayer had been requested.
It has been stated that the woman did not ask me for prayer. That is not accurate. She specifically sought prayer concerning an issue she was experiencing in her body. My conversation with her was in the context of understanding the issue for which she was seeking prayer and praying for her to be free.
In this particular situation, the person was seeking prayer and deliverance concerning what was understood within our faith as demonic oppression affecting the proper functioning of her body. My purpose in addressing the matter directly was to pray for this person to be free and restored. The conversation and prayer were entirely within that spiritual and pastoral context.
At no point was I suggesting, encouraging, or giving permission for sexual relations outside of marriage. That was not the purpose or meaning of the conversation whatsoever. The purpose was deliverance and prayer for freedom from the spiritual oppression the person was seeking help for. The problem she had was demonic and it is my duty to pray for a person to be free immediately from that oppression if they ask for prayer and spiritual insight.
I have never sexually assaulted anyone.
During the prayer in question, I did not instruct or intend for this woman to touch herself in a sexual manner. Any characterization suggesting otherwise completely misrepresents my words and intentions.
I also categorically deny the allegation that I looked at her in a sexual or inappropriate manner. That accusation is false. My interaction with her was pastoral and centered on prayer and deliverance.
Regarding the allegation about a “covenant,” I never asked her to enter into any personal covenant with me. Any covenant discussed in a spiritual context was not a personal covenant between this woman and myself, and it should not be represented as such.
I also deny the allegations made by the woman from South Africa. Her claims concerning me are false and do not accurately represent what occurred.
These are extremely serious accusations, and I do not take them lightly. I therefore want to state clearly and unequivocally: I have never sexually assaulted anyone. I did not engage in sexual conduct with these women, and I did not use prayer or my position as a pastor as a means of pursuing sexual interaction.
I cannot apologize for an intention that I did not have or for conduct that did not occur. However, I recognize that cultural and language differences can cause words to be understood differently than they were intended. I hope that providing the full context brings clarity to what actually took place.
I strongly reject any characterization of these interactions that portrays pastoral prayer and ministry as sexual misconduct. My intention was, and remains, to minister to people seeking prayer and to help them find freedom through Jesus Christ.
