USC Caruso Catholic Center Welcome Home! Home of the Catholic Trojan Family since 1923.

Since 1923, when sixty-two students gathered together to form the Newman Club on campus, the Catholic tradition at USC has grown with the University itself. Locations on campus have changed, pastors have come and gone, and generations of students (including baseball coaching legend Rod Dedeaux) have attended Holy Mass and graduated. Today, the Center serves a university-wide community of 10,000 Ca

tholic students, one of the largest west of the Mississippi. We've moved into our new Caruso Catholic Center and will commission our new church on December 9, 2012.

What a first Sunday back! Seeing your faces in the pews, catching up on your summer, watching old friends reunite: this is exactly what we’ve been missing.

As you settle into your dorms, your classes, and your new routine know that you have a home here. A place for community when you need your people, and a place for prayer and quiet when you need a moment of peace.

It’s football season 🏈

Celebrate the first game against San Jose State at our CC Tailgate! We’ll start the day with Mass at 8am followed by brunch and games in Newman Hall and the CC Courtyard.

As we begin a new school year in a few weeks, many of us are feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. A new school. New friends. Maybe a new major.

But we are reminded that despite everything changing around us, God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. That no matter the circumstance, the Lord remains faithful and near.

In just a few weeks, you’ll be here, and we’ve got so much planned to help you get connected, find your people, and feel at home.

Move-in week can be a lot, so let us help you settle in! Stop by the Catholic Center anytime to grab a welcome packet (with swag!) and get a tour of the space. Come whenever works for you, we’ll be tabling in the courtyard after 12:10PM Mass until 8pm.
