WLS SECURITY GATE FUNDRAISING APPEAL 2022
Dear Families and Friends of Westchester Lutheran School,
The mission of WLS is focused on our Values of Believe, Achieve, and Lead. We BELIEVE in Gods’ love for each one of us and honor his teachings. We ACHIEVE our personal best through academic excellence and the whole-child approach. We LEAD by serving others and creating meaningful relationships. In order for our school to continue this mission we are committed to providing a safe and secure environment.
As you recall last June, we were able to take swift action after a mass shooting occurred at an elementary school in Texas, killing children, their teachers, and others. Our students' safety is at the forefront of our minds and limiting access to our campus was the first order of business after this horrific incident occurred. We were able to think quickly and move swiftly to make this happen on a short-term basis and keep the flow of our school day and our students, staff and families safe.
As we transition into a more long-term solution, we have sourced and secured plans which will fit the needs of our school and provide long term protection. We have secured a plan, a gate company, plans for implementation and dates for installation. Where we need your help is the funding.
We have received $7000 thus far, all earmarked for this project, which is set to cost around $40,000. We are asking for donations of all amounts to support getting this completed before the Fall school year begins. We want to continue to ensure safety and have a welcoming accessible campus.
Please join us in committing to any TAX-DEDUCTIBLE amount. We are on the right track and look forward to your support.
You may make a donation on our website following this link, https://wlcs.org/school - then select payments/donations in the menu bar, or send the donation to the office.
Thank you for your continued collaboration and for supporting your child’s educational experience.
Grateful,
Miss Jill
