This week on A City on Hill Street, we’re talking about gluttony. More than simply eating too much, gluttony is about consuming without gratitude and looking to created things for what only God can satisfy.

Jay, James, and Stacy discuss why the answer isn’t rejecting food, but receiving it rightly — namely, in the context of gratitude and community.

Join us as we explore how gratitude, community, and enjoying God’s gifts in their proper place lead us into deeper joy.

Every one of us has something to offer: a gift, a skill, a heart for others. Serving together is one of the most meaningful ways we grow as a community and live out our faith in action. Whether you love working with kids, greeting newcomers, running sound, or organizing events, there's a place for you on one of our ministry teams.

Explore all the ways to get involved at tapestry.la/serve. We'd love to have you alongside us.

This week on A City on Hill Street, we're talking about greed and no, it's not just about money. Greed shows up in our need for control, security, our children's accomplishments, and the quiet fear that we will never have enough.

Jay, James, and Stacy get honest about how greed hides in plain sight, especially in LA, and why the antidote isn't having less but trusting more.

If Jesus possessed everything and gave it all away freely, what does it look like for us to live from that same security? Tune in as we unpack how surrender, generosity, and prayer are the pathway out of greed and into real freedom.

This week on A City on Hill Street, we're talking about sloth and no, it's not just about being lazy.

Sloth is a resistance to the transforming demands of God's love. It's being spiritually passive while looking incredibly productive on the outside.

Sound familiar?
James, Jen, and Stacy unpack how sloth shows up in suits, packed schedules, and even our quiet times and why the antidote isn't hustle, but hidden faithfulness.

Happy Mother’s Day!

We want to take time right now to celebrate all the mothers here at Tapestry today! We are so blessed by the way you keep our lives in tact, and you light up our world! For every diaper changed, dish washed, and late night feedings that have gone unseen, God sees and knows your love and service to your children.

We also know for some of us, today can be a difficult day. We are thinking of all the mothers who have lost children, those who have lost mothers, those with strained mother relationships and the mothers who have strained relationships with their children, those yearning to be mothers, and our Tapestry spiritual mothers. We are thankful for all of you!

This week, Pastor Charles Choe led us through the deadly sin of wrapth. Looking at Matthew 5, we saw how anger can quickly morph into wrath if not dealt with. We’re also kicking off a new season of A City on Hill Street. Tune in as James, Jay, and Stacy unpack how these deadly sins show up in everyday life and how the gospel leads us into freedom.

This week, Pastor Charles Choe led us through one of the most subtle of the deadly sins, envy. Looking at Psalm 73, we saw how envy quietly distorts our vision — shaping how we see others, ourselves, and even God. But when we bring our envy upward into God’s presence, our perspective is restored, and we begin to experience true contentment.
