Today's FJA Lesson Spotlight Is Brought To Us By Elizabeth Ortega from Central Spanish SDA Church.
God’s Word Our Guide and Counselor, May 5.

For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. Psalm 18:28.

God’s Word is our light. It is Christ’s message to His heritage, who have been bought with the price of His blood. It was written for our guidance, and if we make this Word our counselor, we shall never walk in strange paths. Our words, whether we are in the home or associating with those outside the home, will be kind, affectionate, and pure. If we study the Word and make it a part of our lives, we shall have a wholesome experience, which will always speak forth the truth. We shall search our hearts diligently, comparing our daily speech and tenor of life with the Word, that we may make no mistake.

There are many in this age of the world who act as if they were at liberty to question the words of the Infinite, to review His decisions and statutes, endorsing, revising, reshaping, and annulling at their pleasure. We are never safe while we are guided by human opinions, but we are safe when we are guided by a “Thus saith the Lord.” We cannot trust the salvation of our souls to any lower standard than the decisions of an infallible Judge.

✨ Motivational Monday ✨

Today I want to share an encouragement found in Second Chronicles 15:7 — “But as for you, be strong; don’t be discouraged, for your work has a reward.”

Sometimes we grow tired.
Sometimes we feel discouraged.
Sometimes it feels like our effort goes unnoticed.

But God reminds us:

✅ Be STRONG — even when it’s hard.
✅ Don’t be DISCOURAGED — even when results take time.
✅ Stay FAITHFUL — because your work has purpose.

Every prayer, every act of service, every step of faith matters. Nothing done for God is ever wasted. Your dedication, your obedience, and your perseverance will be REWARDED.

Keep going. Keep serving. Keep trusting.
God sees your work — and He honors faithfulness. 🙌

This Weekend has been a crazy one, but also one filled with blessings. Behind the scenes of camp is crazy, but to plan it months before is an even crazier process. But this past weekend, all those late night meetings and situations, in my opinion, were worth it. I was part of the team that was focused on the objective at hand, giving the youth a safe space to grow in their faith. So many obstacles were put in my teams path. However, with lots of prayer and huddling together, we were able to bring this years SR camp to the books. Thank you, everyone, for rocking with us and for continuous support, we do this for all of you. To my team in and outside of my FJA family, thank you. With God, events and teams like mine mountains can be moved.
This Week: Let’s continue to remember that we are not alone in the fire. We aren’t alone under the pressure. Embrace it, let it refine us, let it make us into armor and weapons for us to take our place in God's Army and help others do the same. Another in the Fire 2026 ✅
