“The Lord swore an oath to David, a sure oath He will not revoke: ‘One of your own descendants I will place on your throne.’” — Psalm 132:11

When Peter preached, he pointed back to God’s promise to David and declared that it had been fulfilled in Jesus Christ.

The Gospel was not a replacement of God’s promises to Israel—it was the fulfillment of God’s promises to them. Jesus is the promised King, the descendant of David, the One God’s people had long hoped for, prayed for, and waited for.

The Church was built on this truth: God keeps His promises.

What God spoke generations before, He fulfilled in Christ. What seemed delayed was never forgotten. His faithfulness became the foundation of a movement that continues to transform lives today.

Sometimes we become so focused on the promise that we forget the Promiser.

God is not limited by our understanding, our expectations, or even our language. He is faithful beyond what we can see or explain.

Where there is confusion, God brings clarity.
Where there is fear, He calls us to trust.

Stop trying to figure everything out in your own strength and focus on the One who made the promise. 🙏✨
