SCRIPTURAL FOOD FOR WEDNESDAY
Daniel 6:10 NLT
“But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God.”
‭‭
In Daniel 6 is the story of how the enemies of Daniel conspired to get him arrested and thrown into the den of lions for refusing to pray to King Darius. Daniel was one of the top three administrators of the Persian government, and his enemies were jealous of Daniel’s favor. But despite Daniel’s secure position, rather than compromise his faith, he refused to obey the law. He kept praying to God as he always had. He refused to take the easy way out, and God rescued him from the lions.
When God blesses you, opens doors, don’t forget what got you there. Once some people reach their goal, they forget the fact that it was because they were uncommon, and they become common. Be like Daniel, and don’t let that happen.
Father, I thank You that You are the One who opens doors and gets me to where I want to be, in Jesus name. Amen.

SCRIPTURAL FOOD FOR FRIDAY
2 Samuel 5:23 NLT
“And again David asked the Lord what to do. “Do not attack them straight on,” the Lord replied. “Instead, circle around behind and attack them near the poplar trees.”
‭‭
A few months prior to Today’s Scripture, the Philistines had come up the same valley, and when David inquired of the Lord as to what to do, the Lord said to attack them. When the Philistines came again after their first defeat, David could have assumed, “No need to ask God this time. I know what to do.” But David realized that yesterday’s information may not be appropriate for today’s challenge. So, he inquired of the Lord again. It was the same enemy, the same valley, but this time God said, “I have a different strategy for you.”
God’s ways are not our ways. He doesn’t want you to get hooked on a formula. You can’t respond to every problem the same way.

Father, I thank You for Your promise that You will not leave me or forget about me. Help me to keep my eyes on You, in Jesus name. Amen.

SCRIPTURAL FOOD FOR SUNDAY
ROMANS 8:31 NLT
“What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?”

Joshua chapter six tells the story about how the odds were stacked against Joshua and the people of Israel. They were standing at the massive walls of Jericho that many thought were inexccessible. I’m sure as he was standing before the well-fortified walls and gates of the city, many around him didn’t think his future was too bright. But Joshua had something others overlooked, he had the promise of Almighty God. Joshua had faith because he knew God was on his side, and God had already determined the victory. Sure enough, just as God promised, the people marched around the city for six days and on the seventh day, they shouted the victory and the walls came tumbling down!
Today, don’t look at the walls in your life, look at the promise of God. He is for you, and if God is for you, nothing can stand against you.

Father, I thank You for Your favor, grace, and victory in my life. I trust You. I will follow You. You are so faithful, in Jesus name. Amen

SCRIPTURAL FOOD FOR SATURDAY
JAMES 3:5 NLT
“In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire.”
‭‭
We need to realize that God hears what we say every day. He hears us when we bless people, when we compliment and encourage them, and when we push them forward. He hears when we criticize and stir up trouble. The prophet Isaiah said that we will eat the fruit of our words(doings) Isaiah 3:10. If you sow disrespect, sarcasm, conflict, and judgment, you’re going to reap those things. But when you sow kindness, encouragement, and mercy, that’s what you’re going to reap.
James said our tongue is like a fire, and one spark can set a whole forest on fire. One word can start a major problem or a major blessing. Don’t be a part of the problem, be a part of the solution.

Father, I thank You for the people You have placed in my life. Please help me to use my words to start good fires, in Jesus name. Amen.

SCRIPTURAL FOOD FOR THURSDAY
ROMANS 8:28 NLT
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”

If you’re fighting everything you don’t like, you need to have this new perspective, it’s all good. Whether it’s an illness you’re dealing with, or a dream that’s taking forever to be fulfilled, you can say, “I don’t like how this has gone, but God is still on the throne. He promised that He would not leave me or forsake me.” All things work together for your good. They may not be good at the time you go through them. It’s painful to go through a loss. It hurts when people do you wrong. It’s discouraging when a dream doesn’t work out. By themselves, they may not be good, But, the problem is that you’re isolating these events. God promises He’s going to bring it all together. HAVE FAITH!!! What looked like a setback was a setup for God to show out in your life.

Father, I thank You for Your unconditional love for me. I Thank You for Your promise that You make all things work together for my good, even when things don’t seem good at the time, in Jesus name. Amen.

SCRIPTURAL FOOD FOR WEDNESDAY
Philippians 4:8 NLT
“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”

The Scripture tells us to guard our mind. You control the doorway to what you allow in. You can dwell on every negative thought and every derogatory comment, or you can choose to delete it and dwell on what God says about you. If you let negative thoughts play over and over in your mind, they will contaminate your confidence, self-esteem, and future. Hit your delete button!
Quit dwelling on every negative thought that comes to your mind.
If the thought is negative, discouraging or pushing you down, don’t dwell on it. Delete it.

Father, I thank You that I can take control of the doorway to my mind. Help me to clear out all the negative thoughts from my mind, in Jesus name. Amen.

SCRIPTURAL FOOD FOR TUESDAY
Isaiah 26:3 NLT
“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”
‭‭
You may have many reasons for why you get worried, upset, fearful, and not able to sleep at night, but just because it’s around you doesn’t mean you have to let it in. When you’re at peace in your mind, that’s a position of power. If you’re going to keep the clutter out of your mind, you have to know what’s your job and what’s God’s job. Sometimes we’re frustrated because we’re trying to do what only God can do. Some things we can’t fix. You can’t make yourself get well, make someone do what’s right, or make some doors open. Our part is to believe, to stay in faith, to keep our mind on God, then let Him do His part. Trust Him to work it out as well as keep you in peace, and He will get you to where you’re supposed to be.
A mind that is stayed on God is a powerful force.

Father, I thank You that there is a place in my mind where I can keep my thoughts on You and abide in peace. I will do my part to stay in faith and let You step in and do Your part, in Jesus name. Amen.

SCRIPTURAL FOOD FOR THURSDAY
JOEL 2:21 NLT
“Don’t be afraid, O land. Be glad now and rejoice, for the Lord has done great things.”
‭‭‬‬
God wants to do great things in your life! Notice this verse starts out by saying, “Don’t be afraid ” Fear is a roadblock to the promises of God. The Bible says that whatever does not come from faith is sin(Romans 14:23). Don’t let fear be a factor in the choices you make in life. If you make choices because you are afraid of something, that fear will block the blessing of the Lord in that area. You overcome fear by meditating on the promises of God’s love and goodness. When you understand the love of God, you have nothing to fear. You know the Lord will do great things! Meditate on this verse. As you study God’s Word, your faith will grow and fear will be gone from your life. You will experience His goodness in every area of your life.

Father, I thank You for your goodness and faithfulness. I trust that You will do great things in my life, in Jesus name. Amen.

SCRIPTURAL FOOD FOR WEDNESDAY
1 Samuel 16:7 NLT
…….The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
‭‭
In the Scripture, David was disregarded by his family, and his job as a shepherd and was considered insignificant. He didn’t complain or become bitter, he didn’t slack off because no one was watching or cared. And on the day Samuel showed up to anoint one of his father’s sons as the next king, it was David who was anointed over his brothers.
People may overlook you or judge you by your looks, your talent, or your skin color, but God looks on the inside. He sees your faithfulness, and your integrity. People may try to push you down, but God will lift you up. People don’t determine your destiny, God does.

Father, I thank You that You are not limited to seeing me as other people see me. I Thank You that You see and know my heart, in Jesus name. Amen.
