Easter or Resurrection Sunday was a blessed time at One at a Time.
Vernon preached about how this is the most important day. Matthew 28:1-7
“He is not here for he has risen.” The hope we have through Christ. Seeking him to know him and have a personal relationship with him. Repentance and turning to God.
When we come to believe God will teach us through his Word.
Of course there was lots of talking and interference which seems to always be the case. But praise the Lord there were no sirens and ambulances going by during the whole service.💖
I noticed one lady during the service outside the patio clutching one of the Bibles we had given her. Her name was Jody Lynn. Someone had stolen her Bible and she was happy to get a new one. Praying she will read it & come back to the Bible study on Wednesday.
Please continue to pray for the people of Skid Row. So many lost people.

I feel blessed today to have been able to go to One at a Time. Adam, my grandson was able to go with me which is always fun.
I’m just thankful to have Vernon, who continues to preach no matter what the distractions , police sirens, loud radios, people talking. Also, I feel it doesn’t matter how many people are there ; whoever is there is who God intended to be there. Today I met a man who has had Jesus change his life. He was going to spend the whole day tomorrow going around with a group witnessing for Christ. 🙌🏻 I also met another man who had never been to our service but was there. I could tell he was a Christian just by looking at him. His bright blue eyes sparkled when he talked about Christ . He said Christ had helped him get out of alcoholism and he had been sober for two years and hoped to continue with the Lord’s help. I hope our service blessed him but if not he was a blessing to me.
I played the song “Don’t Overlook Salvation” by Ricky van Shelton. This world can cause many people to do just that - overlook salvation.
Please continue to pray that more people will come back after all this pandemic scare.
“ I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” John 14:6 ❤️

Sunday, December 19 I went to OAAT, I was able to hand out Christmas cards containing tracks and a gift card to many of the people at the café. I was also able to hand out socks, underwear, T-shirts and blankets, & knit beanies. It’s been cold so anything was appreciated. Vernon preached a good message and I played the song by Josh Turner called “Without Him”.
There were a few disruptions during my time there , other than that it was a good service. My grandson Adam was able to go with me again, it was fun having him along.
I thank everyone for all the prayers and encouragement during 2021, hoping for an even better year in 2022.❤️
The Lord has truly blessed OAAT despite all the pandemic with its regulations etc. this year.

Katrina’s Mom works in the cafe. When Katrina was little she’d always be at OAAT, but I hadn’t seen her for years & she came to see me Dec. 19th. She’s grown into a beautiful young lady. 💖

One At A Time went well today . Vernon did an encouraging message about modeling ourselves after Christ. He went on to explain how you can do that by reading God’s word, getting to know who God is and spending time with him. We have to know who God is in order to know what his will is for our lives. We have to accept and love him in order to be in the family of God. Praise the Lord for his salvation!
The prayers we need at One At A Time are that people who sign up for a meal will actually stay for the message. Seems like lately most are choosing to skip out and return when we start handing meals out. It reminds me how many people would rather put off giving their life to Christ , but when the time comes to enter Heaven they won’t be able to.
Jesus asked, “ Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?” Then he pointed to the disciples and said, “Look these are my mother and brothers. Anyone who does the will of my father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother!”
Matthew 12:50
Psalm 1 was read, an a Thanksgiving devotion. I played the song”His Name Is Jesus” by Cody Johnson 🙌🏻
Continue to pray 🧎‍♀️🧎🏻for the ministry and have a Happy Thanksgiving.

A quick update on One at a Time. My grandson Adam and myself went down Sunday to Skid Row. It was once again very good to see everyone, although after 2020 many of our regulars have not returned.
A few tables have been removed since the latest new restrictions in LA County. I am hopeful that in the months to come that more people will return as restrictions are lifted.
Vernon did a wonderful message based on Matthew 5 about Jesus teaching the people. We’re challenging people to read the Bible themselves and let the Holy Spirit speak to them. People on skid row and everywhere need the Lord. They need to pray and be in his Word. Sometimes it’s the only truth we have.
“In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.” John 1:1
My heart breaks for these people, I just want them to love Jesus and obey him and his word. Yesterday I could see a difference in a couple of the people. I believe the Lord is working in their lives, the seed has been planted. all we can do is plant seeds, deliver a message, pray for them and love them , the Lord will do the rest.
Once again I thank you for all your prayers donations & support.

One At A Time —Today it seemed like it might be going to be disappointing. Not many were there and at the time we arrived , none that I knew.
Adam, my grandson, went with me and that’s always fun. Vernon arrived and the time came to start to preach. It was noisy, ambulances, loud radios, traffic, people being very loud and disruptive🤬, the microphone wouldn’t work, etc.
We decided to start and Vernon prayed despite all the confusion. I prayed silently that things would be calm. After finishing, the microphone started to work, and all the other things started to calm down. A couple that have come before arrived and it was pleasant seeing a familiar face.
Vernon preached a wonderful message on faith. That the word of God is like food for our souls; nutrients to grow in our spiritual life. Encouraging people to read the Bible and letting them know that it would change their desires and they would get to know the Lord personally. We talked about one way and only one way to Jesus.
Praise the Lord 🙌🏻 he is so faithful even when things look bleak. Thank you, Jesus!
Just like our name we have to think of reaching people one person at a time. ❤️

Praise the Lord! We were able to have a service - first time in months. It was so good to get back in the swing of things. The Problem with not having a service for a long time is we’ve lost some of our people that came regular. Hopefully they will return as they get word but sometimes people move on and I’ll never know.
Vernon is also going to be having Bible studies the first three Wednesdays of each month. Great news!
I knew people were praying Because we were able to keep the service going despite people interrupting, playing their radio etc. Of course , if Satan had his way we wouldn’t be there at all.
We’re in the Lord’s army so if it’s his will we’ll keep going, 🙌🏻👏🏻❤️
Many thanks to my grandson, Adam who went with me, it was fun having him.
Thank you for all yours prayers. ❤️

Today was a good day at OAAT. We probably served 45 - 50 people . I was able to distribute lots of socks , underwear , T-shirts, blankets , & sweatshirts etc.
Good news, if all goes well we are going to be able to have Bible studies the first three Wednesdays in March and a church service on the third Sunday of March. 🙌🏻 After talking with George the owner of the café and Vernon my preacher, we’re all in agreement.
Keep us in your prayers, that the Lord will lead , guide , an direct us.
