We are honored to support Newborn, a new film led by HPN friend David Oyelowo, that explores the psychological aftermath of incarceration through the story of a man returning home after years in solitary confinement, seeking to rebuild life with his family while carrying the unseen weight of isolation.

The film brings needed attention to the lasting impact of imprisonment on the mind and body, and the reality many individuals and families face long after release. It reflects the kind of storytelling we believe matters in Hollywood : work that does not turn away from difficult truths, but brings them into the light with care, excellence, and intention.

We are grateful to know and support the filmmakers behind this project, and we are praying for every life it touches!

Newborn opens this Friday, April 10.

On yesterday’s Friday prayer call, a word was released about pivots in the industry. People who were going one way, and then God suddenly have them pivot, like footballers during a play, so that they are in the perfect position position and alignment to win 🙌

We are believing for more outspoken Christianity amongst the entertainment industry community at a rate of never before, because whether you are 33 or not, to God, it can always be your “Jesus year”! He wants to set up people to win, to be bold about their faith, and to continue to grow in the knowledge of who he created them to be.

The HPN Oscars Watch Party was LIT 🔥, and these were our favorite moments from the evening! Although we know that these award shows often celebrate themes that do not lineup with our faith in Jesus, it is not lost on us that God is bigger than the Oscar stage, and He is faithfully guiding those who love him and honor him to be in spaces where they can glorify him using their creative gifts!

Here are HPN’s favorite moments:
1. Michael B Jordan wins Best Actor, AND honors God by starting his speech with “God is Good”.

2. Ejae accepted the Best Song Oscar for the “KPop Demon Hunters” hit song “Golden”. Ejae’s story, her faith, and her inspiration from the Christian Faith for many of the themes she incorporated into the film’s music, is a truly remarkable moment for us!

3. HPN member and friend Nathan Engelhardt .engelhardt ‘s animated short film FOREVERGREEN was recognized and nominated for Best Animated Short Film. This film was created and produced entirely by volunteers, and we celebrate such a heartfelt, creative, and visually beautiful story, being honored!

4. Miles Caton, the breakout Young star of “Sinners” performed on the Oscar stage to the films hit song “I Lied to You”. Myles was raised in a Christian household, and grew up seeing gospel by the example of his mother, gospel great Timiney Figueroa-Caton.

God is using these moments and so many more to inspire people, to ignite curiosity to look deeper into the background stories of those that are being celebrated on the biggest stage in the world, and ultimately, to draw people to Himself. What were your favorite moments from the show?

The Lord continues to be on the move in Hollywood, as Bible studies and prayer walks are happening on TV and film studio lots! Believers in the industry lift up their coworkers, their workplaces, and the stories being created there when they cover the studio lots with prayer.

The HPN Oscars Watch Party 2026 - A TIME WAS HAD: IYKYK ✨When almost 200 Christians in Hollywood dressed up, brought friends, and celebrated films biggest night together – you know that the evening is going to be GOLDEN!

We prayed, laughed, eight, danced, and celebrated the biggest titles, people, projects, and issues of the 2026 award season! What were your favorite moments from the night?
