It is sad but true...many people who claim the name are not serious about following Christ. They misrepresent the name. But being a Christian still means something. It means that you love, respect, and honor your brothers and sisters, your fellow human beings in this world. That is what GOD calls us to do.

"Kingdom Community" is a series that examines the process of building relationships that embody the principles and way of life in God’s Kingdom.

As a church we can build Kingdom relationships in our local context. Our church should be a major part of the local community and while that may be happening in some aspects...we can do more.

A Kingdom Community Is a place where God’s people are connected. As it relates to the church and local community we as the church often assume (wrongly so) that it is our job to “evangelize” or to “save” the community to help them become God’s people. This is the wrong way of thinking.

THE COMMUNITY IS ALREADY GOD’S PEOPLE! Our job is not to “save” the community...our job is to follow God as God connects us, the people of God “IN” the church with our local brothers and sisters in the community, God’s people “outside” of the church!
