🌹 Happy Birthday, St. Jacinta Marto!

Born March 11, 1910, Jacinta was one of the three shepherd children who witnessed the apparitions of Our Lady of Fátima.

Though young, her love for Jesus and her willingness to offer sacrifices for the conversion of sinners and peace in the world continue to inspire the faithful today.

Canonized in 2017, she remains the youngest non-martyr saint in Church history.

God of infinite goodness,
You love the innocent and exalt the humble;
please grant, through the intercession of the Immaculate Mother of Your Son,
that, in imitation of Saints Francisco and Jacinta,
we may serve You in simplicity of heart
and thus may enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
Through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,

Today we celebrate the great Miracle of the Sun at Fatima. The greatest miracle to occur since the Resurrection is also the only miracle ever precisely predicted as to date, time of day and location. While popularly known as “The Miracle of the Sun,” October 13, 1917 has also come to be known as “The Day the Sun Danced."
