In this clip from Episode 9 of Ethos & Yphos, Rev. Fr. Peter Samore discusses an important step toward greater consistency in the liturgical life of the Antiochian Archdiocese.

The Department of Liturgics is moving toward the use of the translations of Holy Transfiguration Monastery for the variable hymnography, with the goal of providing texts that are both of high quality and consistent across the services of the Church.

For chanters, clergy, and faithful alike, good translation is more than a matter of wording. It shapes how we pray, understand, and transmit the hymnography of the Church.
