Honestly, everything started to shake when the Lord told me to move from Pasadena to Santa Monica.
—[ other than coming to L.A. 6/17/2020 with $200, no place to live and not knowing a soul ]
It was one of the scariest steps of faith I’ve ever taken - triple the financial requirement and no clear plan of how it would all come together. I had lined up a place to move into, but every time I thought about it, I felt uneasy—almost anxious. I kept asking the Lord for clarity, but He was silent. Thankfully, that option became clear it was not His best option. [ I prayed daily for the door to be closed if it wasn't of Him ]
I was ready to cancel my trip to Washington, D.C. because of finances, but instead God spoke: *“You have to go.”* I remember thinking, *Oh, now You want to talk, Lord? But You won’t answer my other questions?*
To make it even more stretching, I had to keep my commitment for A Million Women in D.C. prayer gathering—on top of needing funds for this move. My belongings ended up split between three different homes and I left for the Capital. After D.C., I went to Palm Beach to wait on the miracle I desperately needed. Honestly, I was ready to stay there. I miss it—my family, my friends, the familiar, the safety, the cleanliness.
But God had other plans.
It all began around **Rosh Hashanah**, the Jewish New Year, in early October. Looking back, I should have recognized that the timing wasn’t random. Rosh Hashanah is a season of new beginnings, of God’s trumpet call, of things being shaken and reset. That was His sign that this year would not be all “flowers and butterflies.”
October 2024 was full of the unknown. Honestly, I was ready to go back to my old life. I told God, *“Can’t I be a good Christian in Palm Beach? They need Jesus too! Why do I have to be in L.A.? It’s so hard there—it’s dirty, unsafe, and nothing like where I grew up.”*
In my frustration, I even told Him, *“If You don’t find the place for me, I’m staying in Florida.”*
Well, the very next day someone emailed me an option. I signed the contract and got approved—all without ever seeing the place in person.
**ONLY GOD!** 🙌
