Our Wise in Christ gathering today was a beautiful time of faith, fellowship, and care for one another.

We began our morning by celebrating the Holy Eucharist on the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and then welcomed Dr. Osama Sidhom for an informative health presentation on liver health, colon cancer screening and early detection, and abdominal pain, followed by an open Q&A.

As Catholics, we are reminded that caring for the whole person—body and soul—is part of our call to love and serve one another.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Sidhom for generously sharing his time and expertise, to everyone who joined us, and especially to our Wise in Christ team for their dedication and loving service in preparing this gathering and making everyone feel welcome.

May Our Lady, assumed into heaven, accompany our parish family and lead us always closer to her Son.

Blessings,
Fr. Elia B. Gawarge

— Luke 1:46–47

Dear St. Mary Parish Family,

Today, July 31, 2026, we begin the Fast of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a sacred season of prayer, fasting, and spiritual renewal in the life of our Coptic Catholic Church.

As we honor the Mother of God, let us imitate her unwavering faith, profound humility, and joyful obedience to the will of God. Through her maternal intercession, may we grow in holiness, deepen our communion with her Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and open our hearts more fully to His grace.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary pray for us and lead us always to her Son, Jesus Christ.

Wishing you and your families a blessed and grace-filled Fast of St. Mary.
Blessings,
Fr. Elia B. Gawarge

Rejoicing in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony

Anthony A. Sidhom & Priyanka S. Chellappa

“So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
— Mark 10:8–9

On Sunday, July 19, 2026, our parish family at St. Mary Coptic Catholic Church rejoiced in the celebration of the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony of Anthony A. Sidhom and Priyanka S. Chellappa.

Before God and His Church, Anthony and Priyanka exchanged their vows and entered into the sacred covenant of Christian marriage, becoming one flesh in Christ. It was a beautiful witness to God’s faithful love and a joyful celebration of a vocation that reflects Christ’s enduring love for His Church.

Anthony and Priyanka, as you begin this new chapter together, may Christ always remain at the center of your home. May He strengthen you in every season of life, teach you to love with patience, generosity, and forgiveness, and fill your marriage with joy, peace, unwavering fidelity, and abundant grace. May your home always be a place where faith is lived, hope is renewed, and love grows deeper with each passing day.

We also extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Sidhom and Chellappa families. Thank you for the love, faith, and support you have given Anthony and Priyanka throughout their journey. May the Lord richly bless both of your families and deepen the bonds that now unite you in Christ.

Entrusting this new marriage to the loving care of the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, and the Holy Family, we pray that the Lord will guide Anthony and Priyanka every step of the way until they rejoice together at the eternal Wedding Feast of the Lamb.

Congratulations, Anthony and Priyanka! Your St. Mary parish family rejoices with you and will continue to keep you both in our prayers.

With every blessing,
