Doing something new for the first time can be scary, especially in virtual reality. So let's do it together. On Sunday March 20th at 7pm United States Eastern Standard Time, those interested in being part of The Salvation Army VR Corps will attend worship at VR Church, a pioneer in VR ministry, we will take some time to tour the VR corps and get more comfortable with Altspacevr. This is a perfect opportunity to experience church in the metaverse, meet salvationists and non-salvationists from around the world, and discover how we can plant the flag of The Salvation Army firmly in the soil of The Metaverse.

Don't have a headset, no problem, altspacevr has a great 2D option, which gives you a very immersive feeling. Join us as we explore, deploy reconnaissance, together.

You sit down in your home and begin your weekly Bible Study in a word of prayer. One member of your small group beings to pray in Swahili, they don't know any English, yet their prayer is translated in real time, so all the languages represented can understand. Members gathering to grow in their faith together, from all over the world, unified in Christ. This is ministry in The Metaverse.

The Metaverse is a virtual reality, where real people, gather as avatars which appear almost life-like, as it tracks your hand and facial movement where the line between near-and-far almost seems to vanish. Real people gathering in real time to share their real lives together, a whole new country in its own right.
