Happy New Year!

It's a New Year!!! Yippie...🥳 Now What?🤷🏾‍♂️

We often associate the dawn of a new year, with some kind of mental, spiritual, or physical awakening or reset. We see it as an opportunity to do something new and spectacular with our lives.😎 However, that one second between 11:59:59pm on December 31st and 12:00am on January 1st, is no more significant, than the other 31,535,999 seconds in a year. If we are really serious about making a change in behaviour, we would and we wouldn't need to wait, until a new year to do it. 🤔

I left home just before 6 am on Sunday morning, walked 1 km and then I started to run.🏃🏾‍♂️ As I ran, I felt pain in my glutes and ankles,🦵🏾 soreness in my feet, tightness in my chest,🫁 sticking in my abdomen and a throbbing pain in my temple.🤕 I was tempted to stop on so many occasions, but I pushed all the way through until I reached a beach at 9km, in desperate need of water.🚰

Find Your Fit

My first 3 years at HOPE Church⛪ were not that interesting. I came on Sundays, sat down, listened to the sermon and left.🚶🏾‍♂️ However, I was impressed by how smoothly things ran, how song service always began exactly on time,⏱️ how welcomed I felt on arrival🤗 and how appreciated I felt when I left.👋🏾 I always wondered, how do they do it?... but never enough to ask or get involved though. I just wondered.🤔

Memories of those first few years at HOPE resurfaced on Sunday, when Pastor spoke about finding your fit, by being an active member in the body of Christ. ✝️
