5/31/26: Generosity Part 2!
A poor widow is generous to Elijah
In the Bible: 1 Kings 17:1-24
Bible story of the day included trust, faith, obedience and generosity!!

Memory Verse: Give and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. Luke 6:38

Bible Buster: find another story with a bird or birds…older kids need to know where in the Bible they found it! (Chapter and Verse)😊

Bible Story: Generous poor widow
In the Bible: Mark 12:41-44
Memory Verse: For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21

We went outside and trimmed Pastor Joel’s rose bush and decorated the church yard with flags.

Memorial Day is a special day to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives while serving in the US Armed Forces!

We played Elbow Tag…hold onto God. He will never leave you!!

Take Time to be Holy
Bible Story: The Good Samaritan
In the Bible: Luke 10:25-37
Memory Verse: Love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 5:43-48

Photos include the reenactment of The Good Samaritan Bible Story, and the beginning of Linda’s “no good, horrible, very bad day.” She shared a story of a God Moment and the making of a new friend!

We learned there is a difference between “being nice” and “showing kindness!”

This week’s homework assignment: Take time to not just be nice but to “show kindness” to someone.

5/3/26…He’s Alive!
Story: A Miraculous Catch, John 21:10-14

Memory Verse: He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Mark 16:15

We reenacted Jesus’ ascension into heaven using helium balloons. The kids wrote messages on them for others to find so they may join us in our goal to help bring others to know Jesus.

Played a combination of Pictionary and Charades…in a review of the Parables. Sang The Prodigal and The Commission!

Built edible tombs! They were delicious!!

Today: The Parable of the Lost Sheep
Luke 15:1-7
Practicing for Easter Sunday and watched a God’s Story video…then A sheep hunt all over the church for 100 sheep…

Each child went home with a stuffed sheep and to be a “good shepherd to their sheep”!

Memory Verse: Nothing will separate us from the love of God. Romans 8:38
