When I was a teenager I could quote over 2,000 scriptures. I was Queen of the youth group of our church I was on the quiz team. I looked I dressed I acted the very way the Bible says we should do
One night there was a missionary that came to our church. I realize that I was not saved. That everything that I was was a lie. The devil fought me ,as God began to deal with my heart but I realized that I was lost and on my way to hell.
Now you may say she was 13 years old and what did she know.
When the Lord began to convict me I knew.
It wasn't about a look it wasn't about head knowledge. It was about receiving the Lord Jesus Christ in my heart .
It totally changed my life I remember being so scared to walk down that aisle to the altar.
What would people think. They told me that I one of the most spiritual young people in the church. Here I was lost and on my way to hell. I could feel the Holy Spirit in my heart saying which is better to go to the altar or to be a hypocrite. Well I went to the altar God totally changed me. From the inside out I no longer was full of head knowledge I was full of the Lord Jesus Christ in my heart.
I was embarrassed that I did not realize that I was a hypocrite when I got up from the altar I looked around and every young person in the church was that the altar praying.
So glad I went best thing that ever happened to me. I am now 73 years old and so glad that God revealed to me that I was not what I was supposed to be.
I've had my UPS I've had my DOWNS but the Lord has been faithful merciful showed me more grace than I could have ever imagined.
We need to be careful salvation of the brain will not cut it. We must be born again.
Do I just go to church because that's what we're supposed to do.
Only you can answer this question between you and God.
Hope this has inspired you to be sure your relationship is through the blood of Jesus Christ for there is no other way to be saved.
Rom 10: v9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
