🎨🌿 CALLING ALL KIDS 🌿🎨

This summer, we’re turning our bulletin covers into a gallery of creation! Each week during the Pentecost season, we’ll feature artwork drawn by our own children—showcasing the beauty of God’s Creation through their eyes. 🌎✨

Our theme this year is “Creation”—and we can’t wait to see sunshine, animals, oceans, flowers, stars, and all the wonderful ways kids imagine the world God made!

🖍️ Blank coloring pages are available on the table outside the sanctuary doors.

📬 Please return completed artwork to the church office as soon as possible.

Let’s fill our worship space with color, creativity, and joy from our youngest artists! 💛

Thank you for helping make this a fun summer!

As we walk through another week together in faith, we lift up all those who are carrying heavy burdens, facing illness, grieving loss, recovering, or simply in need of God’s comfort and strength.

We especially pray for Roy, Joel, DJ, Robin, Sami, Jessica, Sandy, Josiah, Kristen, Matt, Eric, Shari, Kira, Kim, Colette, and Alexis

We pray for all who are in nursing homes and rehab centers especially Jane, Dorothy, Goldie, and Mary Ann.

We also hold close in prayer the family and friends of Frederick Smith upon his death.

Lord, surround each person with Your peace, healing, comfort, and hope. Strengthen those who are weary, encourage those who feel alone, and remind us of all that Your love never leaves us.

God hears every prayer, even the ones spoken silently. You are never alone. 💙 How can we pray for you today?

A Prayer for Memorial Day

Gracious and loving God,

On this Memorial Day, we pause to remember the true meaning of this day — a day set aside to honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country and in sacrifice for others.

We give thanks for their courage, their dedication, and their willingness to serve beyond themselves. We remember not only those who died in battle, but also the families, friends, and loved ones who continue to carry both pride and grief in their hearts. Surround them with Your comfort and peace.

Lord, in a time when our nation often feels divided, remind us that we are still one people, created in Your image and called to love one another. Help us to look beyond labels, arguments, and differences that pull us apart. Teach us to listen with compassion, speak with kindness, and seek understanding instead of division.

May our love for our country not be rooted in politics or partisanship, but in a shared hope for peace, justice, mercy, and the well-being of all people. Bring healing where there is bitterness, unity where there is separation, and hope where there is discouragement.

As followers of Christ, remind us that the greatest acts of love are often found in sacrifice, compassion, and service to one another. Help us to never take for granted the freedoms and opportunities we have been given.

Bless those who serve today, those who mourn, and all who long for peace. Guide us in living lives worthy of the sacrifices made before us.

In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen.

The beautiful red geraniums filling our sanctuary this Pentecost remind us of the fire and presence of the Holy Spirit. 🌺🔥

In scripture, the Holy Spirit often moves like the wind—powerful, unseen, and life-giving. We may not always see where God is moving, but we can feel His presence stirring hearts, bringing comfort, courage, and new life.

“Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven…” – Acts 2:2

May the Spirit move through our church, our homes, and our hearts this Pentecost season. ❤️

Pentecost Sunday is this Sunday! ❤️🔥

As we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church, we invite everyone to wear red to worship as a symbol of the Spirit’s fire and presence among us.

Come join us as we gather in worship, prayer, and celebration together. We look forward to seeing a sea of red this Sunday!

Please join us for a fun evening of Board Games, snacks, and lots of laughs on Wednesday June 10th from 6-8pm in the fellowship hall. Bring a snack to share and your favorite game. We did this event several years ago and a great time was had by everyone who attended! This is an all-ages event so there will be something for everyone. There is a signup sheet on the bulletin board - or email the church office to let us know how many are coming!

Sometimes I feel like Martha (Luke 10:38-42)

Busy. overwhelmed. trying to hold everything together. Carrying responsibilities no one notices. Feeling guilty for being tired, for needing a break, for not doing "enough."

We're praised for being productive. but rarely encouraged to just be. Like Martha, we love deeply- -we just show it by doing.
But the same Jesus who gently reminded Martha to rest, reminds me too.

My worth is not measured by how much I do because, we are loved not for what we do- but for who we are. sitting at His feet.
