Reformation Sunday reminds us that faith is not about perfection.

Its about grace.
Its about having the courage to begin again and trust that God is still at work, even when things feels uncertain or unfinished.

Sunday, we celebrate that spirit of renewal together.

Our santuary will be filled with music.
Our hearts will be reminded of the beautiful, enduring promise at the center of our faith: we are saved by grace, held by love, and always being made new.

Halloween is full of skeletons, ghosts, and things that go bump in the night. But did you know the Bible has a story about a valley full of dry bones?

In Ezekiel 37, God asks the prophet, “Can these bones live?” What follows is a vision of bones coming together, sinews and flesh covering them, and breath entering them until they stand alive again.

It sounds like something out of a Halloween story, doesn't it? But this story isn't about the dead coming back to haunt us. It's about a God who brings life where there is only death, hope where there is despair, and possibility where everything seems lost.

Maybe we all have a few dry-bone places in our lives: dreams we've buried, faith that feels tired, relationships that feel broken, or parts of ourselves we've stopped believing can ever come alive again.

But what if the story isn't over?

The God who breathed life into dry bones is still in the business of bringing dead things to life.

This Halloween, beneath the costumes, candy, and skeletons, may we remember that even in the driest valleys of our lives, God's Spirit is still moving.

🧡 Can these bones live? With God, even the impossible can begin again.

Yesterday, we said goodbye to our favorite four legged Lutheran, a special member of our church family.

Ducky has been with one of our members since he was just a puppy, growing from a curious little pup into a loving, faithful guide dog in training. Along the way, he has been part of our Sundays, our community, and so many of the little moments that quietly become precious memories.

And now, Ducky’s journey is taking him somewhere new.

He is off to continue his training and, one day, help bring greater independence, confidence, and companionship to someone who needs him. What an incredible gift that will be.

We will miss seeing his sweet face at church. We will miss his presence, his gentle spirit, and all the joy he brought with him.
