More than six years as the Covid shut down trapped us all in our homes, I started live streaming morning prayer Monday through Friday. I thought I’d be doing it for a few weeks and then maybe a few months. But a community formed during that time. We have learned that whenever two or three are gathered, God is indeed with us - even as we are sitting in our separate kitchens or out on walks or driving in our cars. We are the morning prayer community. Today is the last day. Next week is vacation Bible school. The week after that, the youth pilgrimage to Montana. And then… Retirement. I have been so blessed and supported by this particular community of morning folk. Thank you, thank you thank you! I will miss you and our mornings. I will miss this deep, spiritual practice.
