Celebrate Recovery at Northland

Celebrate Recovery at Northland Every Friday Night 7 to 9 @ Northland Church 530 Dog Track Road Longwood, FL 32750 We become free from our addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors.

Celebrate Recovery offers freedom from our hurts, hang-ups, and habits through eight healing principles that promise true happiness and life transformation. Using the Beatitudes of Jesus as a foundation, Senior Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church and John Baker, who is also a pastor at Saddleback, developed the eight principles. The purpose of “Celebrate Recovery” is to fellowship and celebrat

e God’s healing power in our lives through the 12 Steps and 8 Recovery Principles. This experience allows us to “be changed.” We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our lives’ problems. By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually and heal our Hurts, Hang-ups and Habits. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power – Jesus Christ. Welcome to an Amazing Spiritual Adventure! Celebrate Recovery meets every Friday night in the Rink at Northland, a Church Distributed.

12. Having had a spiritual experience as the result of these steps, we try to carry this message to others
and practice these principles in all our affairs.

“Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the spirit should restore that person
gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.” Galatians 6:1 NIV

Learning to recognize the cycle of pain:

Hurts – painful life experiences (loss, abuse, rejection, trauma) that leave deep emotional wounds.

Hang-ups – thoughts and attitudes formed to cope with that pain (fear, anger, shame, resentment, control).

Habits – unhealthy behaviors used for relief that can eventually take over (addictions, compulsions, destructive patterns).

What starts as pain can become patterns—but healing begins with honesty about all three.

If everyone brings one person, things could get crowded… and we’re okay with that! 🎉

Let’s fill the room this weekend and lift up the name of Jesus!

See you tonight at 5pm, Sunday at 9 and 11am, and Monday at 7pm!
