Nehemiah had a theme of following Christ’s footsteps. Instead of walking in front of or next to Christ, Nehemiah walked in the footprints of his Savior.

He understood that the enemy would do anything to distract him from his great work God called him to do. He understood the assignment.

Duplicities twist the truth, so let’s debunk ONE common duplicity.

IT’S NOT: God can’t give you more than you can handle.
IT’S: God can give you what HE can handle and God will bring you through what HE handles.

It’s true. The Father loves us. He will never leave us nor forsake us.

It’s hard to understand when there is brokenness right at our doorsteps, seeping into the cracks of our minds but this is exactly where the enemy twists this idea. He has come to only cause disruption and chaos and brokenness into this world.

God does ordain more than we can handle, but he never gives us more than He can’t handle.

“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns”

— Philippians 1:6 NLT

Our response to Nehemiah 6: Will we resist the lies, and embrace the truth of God’s work in me?

The first week of Adventure Camp has come to a close. 77 campers made a profession in the faith and all of our campers have heard the Gospel while simultaneously working through the story of David.

Throughout the week the campers learned hand motions to go with the story, their purpose—which is to know God’s love and show God’s love—and how to live out that purpose.

We pray that for the few hours we had the campers that they will begin to understand the hope, love, and grace Christ extends to them.

There’s something sweet about the walls of this church holding spaces for our campers and volunteers.

Our goal for these two camp weeks is for our attendees to know God’s and show God’s love and for each of the campers to understand that they were uniquely crafted for a purpose that is woven by God and for God.

Today is day two of Adventure Camp and we are ready to see how God will use the rest of this week.

Tomorrow is Gospel day, so please be in prayer for open hearts and open opportunities to have real conversation and life change. Let’s go.

The Lord is so good. We love baptism Sunday. There’s nothing more joyful than watching our brothers and sisters in Christ love Jesus more and more.

Jesus wants us to walk in victory by putting off our old self and covering ourselves in the newness He gives us freely.

Today we learned that Nehemiah grieved the actions of God’s people through anger and realized that they needed a hard reset.

Accepting Christ and participating in baptism is the ultimate reset. There’s nothing more pleasing to the Lord than the sound of praise from His people.

If you missed today, be sure to catch up by reading Nehemiah 5 and watching today’s sermon on our YouTube page.

Today’s the day you can walk in newness church.

We’re learning how to respond like Nehemiah. His first action WAS prayer. Do you tend to respond to life circumstances with prayer or with action?

Parents, you are important. Your kids follow your morning routines, they mimic your habits, and they watch to see how you tend to your relationship with the Lord.

Your presence is everything. Just like how a gardener tends to their crops each day a parent tends to their child’s development.

At Waterstone, Family Commissioning is coming up this month on Father’s Day.

Family Commissioning is a commitment to say, “God, I will do everything in my power to raise my family in a godly way, so as for me and my house we will serve the Lord,” which comes from Joshua 24:15.

You matter and at WaterStone we want to come alongside you to help you raise that godly family.

Register for Family Commissioning if the Lord is tugging at your heart to take this next step for your family. 🌱🤍
