I finally found a comic book that I have been looking for. This is a first edition. This comic book has a very special meaning to me because a friend of mine that I grew up with mom gave me a copy. Each time a new one would come out, she would get one and drop it off at my house.

This Christian comic book was my first real contact with Jesus that I remember in my life. So that is the special meaning that I have for it. For this, I am deeply grateful to Mrs. Fisher. I would see her from time to time and she always had a smile and a word of encouragement. She always made a point to say how proud she was of me.

The Cross and Switchblade was based on a true story about the Reverend David Wilkerson and based on his book by the same name. He started a ministry in New York City ministering to gang members. He eventually founded Teen Challenge and after he retired, he and his wife settled in East Texas. In 2011, they were traveling on Hwy 175 between Jacksonville and Frankston when they were involved in a head on collision with an eighteen wheeler. Rev Wilkerson was pronounced dead at the scene and his wife died a year later.

I want to say to David, Elizabeth, Martha and Mary Fisher, thank you for sharing your mom with me. I love you all for that and know that your family has a special place in my heart.

Ok everyone, here is the latest update on my cancer journey. Kathleen and I will leave tomorrow morning for two days of testing. For these test I will be put under. Once these tests are completed and results come back they will schedule the transplant.

This has been a journey of learning and testing my faith. My faith has not wavered. I know that God is in control and there is nothing to worry about.

God has given me a message to share and His is providing opportunities for it. Once I get past the recovery process, I will start scheduling events. If your church, group or event would like to schedule me, please send a message to [email protected].

I want to thank everyone for there prayers, concerns and donations. They have meant alot to Kathleen and I especially since I have been unable to work since February.
