Our congregation and friends had the opportunity to view our “church to home” last Tuesday morning. It was nice to be able to see the final result and give our old church home a final farewell.

Since purchasing our historic Martin Street church, Kassi and Matt Malkin have been working together on a “Church Conversion”.

The church building will be changed from one form (religious house of God) into another form (a home where people will live). The word “conversion” stood out for me since as Christians we invite others to change and begin a new life with Christ. The word actually means changing something from one form, unit or use into another and applies to many fields.

Even though the church will become a home, the stained glass windows and added arches will remain as reminders of the building’s 102 year history of being a spiritual home to hundreds of people.

Maundy Thursday
“Songs and Prayers from Taizé”
April 2 | 6:30 p.m.

You are invited to a contemplative Taizé service as we enter the sacred space of Holy Week.

Rooted in the ecumenical Taizé Community in France, this meditative Christian worship weaves together simple, repetitive chants, scripture readings, candlelight, and extended silence. Through song and stillness, we open ourselves to Christ’s presence and the deep peace of God.

Come as you are. All are welcome.

Led by Community of Christ ministers Robin Linkhart and Pastor Cheryl Barnett

Our historic church building has been sold. Owning and maintaining the church has become more difficult with each passing year, but it will be missed. I have so many good memories of worshiping together through the years; but the memories are of people and the church provided a place for us to meet. A place that we dedicated a lot of time and love to.

Our closing date is December 17th. Christmas is a wonderful time to say goodbye to our much loved church.

Please join us for two special Christmas Worship services!
