We learned all about the incredible promises God made long before Jesus was born. God promised a special baby would come—a baby who would grow up to be our Savior, the one who could break that awful curse. That was the promise that God had made long, long ago, He was going to send our Savior! And when Jesus came, He was that promise come true!”

God, thank You for never giving up on us. Thank You for loving us, even when we run away or mess up. Give us the courage to follow Your ways even when it’s hard or we think we know better. Help us to believe that Your ways are best so we follow them and You all of our days.

This week we talked about Solomon and his desire for wisdom! God was so happy that Solomon asked for wisdom! The Bible says that wisdom is one of the richest treasures of all!

So how can you practice wisdom this week? Here are a few ideas: Ask God for wisdom before you make a big decision or when you feel stuck. Look up Bible verses that relate to what you’re going through. (If you need help, ask a family member or small group leader.) Talk to a trusted adult—a parent, leader, or teacher—about choices you’re facing. God often uses others to help us find wisdom. Pause before reacting—when you’re angry, sad, or excited, take a deep breath and ask, ‘God, what’s the wise thing to do right now?’ Remember that God looks at your heart. You don’t have to impress anyone!
