Check out our very own BJUSY Executive Vice-President, Celia Polakow, on the USY social media sharing about her current experience on the USY Impact DR summer trip! Celia is currently on this trip with 3 other Congregation Beth Judea BJUSY USYers; Dylan Marder, Lauri Sender, and Evelyn Zimbalist, along with USYers from across North America! The teens are volunteering in the mornings in the DR helping teach underserved and underprivileged kids at a school/camp and then spending the afternoons and evenings touring and learning about the rich Jewish history of the Dominican Republic. This morning our BJUSY Youth Director, Marc Sender and Rabbi Micah Cowan visited the USY on Wheels teens as they stopped in Chicago on their journey across the country. They delivered some delicious food from Shalom Kosher Bakery, got to daven Shacharit together, and even found their tallit twins!
