Yom huledet sameach! A very happy birthday (one day belated) to our incredible maintenance supervisor, Manuel Velazquez! High holidays would not have been as successful as they have been without your incredibly hard work!

If you’re able to help the Vernon Township Food Pantry please do so!

Help the Vernon Township Food Pantry keep breakfast bowls full! The Pantry's shelves are critically low on cereal, an everyday essential for the 400+ local families who rely on this resource each month. You can help power a brighter morning for a neighbor in need by dropping off a box or two at the Township Office (3050 N. Main Street, Buffalo Grove) weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. - or any time of day in the outdoor donation cart. Every donation directly nourishes our community. Check out our incredible teens from the BJUSY board. They were hard at work today getting ready for a new school year, learning new skills, and even giving back to the community!

Check out our very own BJUSY Executive Vice-President, Celia Polakow, on the USY social media sharing about her current experience on the USY Impact DR summer trip! Celia is currently on this trip with 3 other Congregation Beth Judea BJUSY USYers; Dylan Marder, Lauri Sender, and Evelyn Zimbalist, along with USYers from across North America! The teens are volunteering in the mornings in the DR helping teach underserved and underprivileged kids at a school/camp and then spending the afternoons and evenings touring and learning about the rich Jewish history of the Dominican Republic. Want to find out more about the incredible experience they are having and how your teen can have the experience? Reach out to our Youth Director, Marc Sender
