Life on the Vine - a Greenhouse of God's Presence. We are a church community located in Long Grove, Illinois. Life on the Vine is a greenhouse of God's presence.

Amidst our hectic, consumerist suburbia,
we pause in silence,
we hear the ancient Scriptures,
we behold the beauty of the Lord,
we submit to the preached Word,
we encounter God's mysterious presence,
we respond to Him in praise and worship. In a world fragmented by mistrust,
we gather as a community,
a committed family born of the Holy Spirit,
to journey together in God's salvation,
telling storie

s of wonder. Central to our community is gathering on Sundays for teaching and worship.

🪷 Tim created this beautiful lotus flower which has been residing on the table since Easter morning. Because it grows in muddy water yet rises above the surface to bloom, it represents the persistence of beauty, goodness, and life through even the most painful situations. What a beautiful reminder to us each Sunday morning of Resurrection Life! 🪷

Today we announced a new role that Pam Sutherland has agreed to shoulder - or to be more accurate, a role she has already shouldered. We wanted to name and honor her work.

Pam is our new Deacon of Presence and Soul Care. Pam, we are so grateful for your attention to the care of our souls, for how you facilitate our connection to God and one another, and for the ways you help us engage with the reality that God is present among us.
