🚨 New Sermon Series 🚨
Starting this Sunday, we’re beginning a new sermon series: Common Threads: The Faith We Are Tending Together. Over seven weeks, Susanne, Juliet, Cindy, Stacey, Neil, Evan, and Tim will each preach on one thread of the faith we believe we’ve grown here. These threads aren’t new threads within Christianity. We’ve grabbed onto these threads as we have looked back into a long line of people throughout church history who insisted Christians live differently than the dominant expression of their moment. We’ve also looked around us to learn from Christians whose voices have often been overlooked or ignored in church history.
This series won’t try to capture everything we believe. It’s a sampling of some threads we think are worth naming, nurturing, and passing on right now, trusting that as we tend to our small community, the Spirit is doing the same in other churches and leading the American church toward something more beautiful.
And because we believe the Spirit is given to all of us, not to one voice, this series will be preached the way we try to live - collaboratively, by several of us - and also by you! In the final week, we’ll close the series together: Jana will lead a whole-church discussion, opening space for all of us to reflect on and talk about the kind of faith we want to keep growing here.
We hope you’ll come ready to listen, wrestle, and add your own voice to the threads we’re naming together.
