A great morning program/class and boardwalk walking tour today with Rabbi Braun and Rabbi Howard Jachter to view the recent extension of the Long Branch Eruv. A big thank you to the Long Branch Police Department for increasing patrols and visibility at religious institutions around the city today. It gave us a great sense of comfort and security to our community still shocked by the events at the Pittsburgh synagogue last weekend. Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured Pittsburgh Police officers and their families. We admire our extremely professional and well-trained officers here in Long Branch and we are very grateful for everything you do to keep our city safe.

It's the big finale this weekend! The Iron Chef Chulent Championship Round is this Shabbat. The finalist are: Leon Hubbert from week one, beating out Sol Greenspan and Steve Pasternak. From week two, champion Raisy Sultan who won that week against Helen Schwartzberg and Ann Goldman. And finally Joelle Engel last week's winner with Becky Green and Rachael Salomon.

Come see Joelle, Raisy and Leon battle it out for the title!!
