Pastor Phillip here, I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and feeling the security of God’s peace and joy in this time we find ourselves in. The global pandemic has brought unforeseen health, economic, mental, and emotional challenges to everyone and forced all of us to adapt at a record pace. We as a church, like all churches, have also been impacted. We have been forced to ask ourselves tough questions and to find hard solutions so that we as a church can position ourselves to weather this storm and come out ready to go where God wants to take us. For this reason, I and the leadership of the church have decided to adjust our ministry approach heading forward and bring the ministry of the Upper Room to a close on February 7th, 2021. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Grow where you are planted. We have some big news coming this weekend, we are having to adapt in a new direction due to the affects of the pandemic. Recent statistics show that 1 in 5 churches are at risk of shuttering. Attendance is down, even with online service and this is resulting in a sharp decline in tithing for most churches. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Through any changes that you may face, we encourage you to grow. The Lord has a plan for us and it may not be what we expect. But we are called to be faithful Christians, to reach out with our actions and our words to show the love of Jesus Christ to the world. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
