Today, we celebrate the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. 💙

Just as we joyfully celebrate the birthdays of those we love, the Church rejoices in the birth of Mary—the woman whose faithful “yes” helped bring our Savior into the world.

On this special feast day, may we reflect on Mary’s life, her trust in God and the beautiful role she continues to hold in our faith.

Our St. Thomas parish family extends our deepest condolences to St. Mary Parish, Biloxi following the unexpected passing of their priest, Father Martin Gillespie.

We give thanks to God for his devoted priestly ministry and ask that you keep his family and the entire St. Mary Parish family in your prayers during this difficult time.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.

May the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Father Martin Gillespie, pastor of St. Mary Parish in Woolmarket, died unexpectedly this morning. Father Gillespie served as a priest of the Diocese of Biloxi for 26 years. We give thanks to God for his priestly ministry. Please keep the Gillespie family and the St. Mary Parish family in your prayers.

Father Satish, Deacon Jerry and Deacon Buddy celebrated Mass with the St. Vincent school community and their families for their annual Grandparents Day celebration at Holy Family Parish.

We are so grateful for the love, wisdom and faithful example grandparents share with each generation!

We look forward to blessing our grandparents at our St. Thomas mass on Grandparents Day, September 13.
