Sider Madeira's Gospel Meeting (May 28, 2026):

"He [Jesus Christ] committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth; when He was insulted, He did not retaliate; when He suffered, He made no threats, but entrusted Himself to Him [God] who judges justly. He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree [the cross], so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness." (1 Peter 2:22-24). Sinners must receive forgiveness from God for all their sins and have those sins washed away. However, no one is capable of obtaining the forgiveness of sins through their own efforts alone; it is possible only through the atoning work of Jesus on the cross. Because this Gospel must be proclaimed, I went to the harbor today to share this message, visiting the *Sider Madeira* to hold a missionary meeting. Half of the crew members were out on shore leave; although eight sailors gathered initially, four had to leave midway through to attend to their duties, leaving the final four who remained to offer the prayer of acceptance. I believe that God has touched their souls and granted them salvation.

"저(예수 그리스도)는 죄를 범치 아니하시고, 그 입에 궤사도 없으시며, 욕을 받으시되 대신 욕하지 아니하시고, 고난을 받으시되 위협하지 아니하시고, 오직 공의로 심판하시는자(하나님)에게 부탁하시며, 친히 나무(십자가)에 달려 그 몸으로 우리 죄를 담당하셨으니, 이는 우리로 죄에 대하여 죽고, 의에 대하여 살게하려 하심이니라."(베드로전서 2:22-24). 죄인들은 반드시 그의 모든 죄를 하나님으로부터 용서를 받고 죄를 씻음 받아야 한다. 하지만 어느 누구도 자력으로 죄사함을 받을 사람이 없다. 반드시 예수님의 십자가 속죄의 사역을 통해서만 가능하다. 이 복음은 전해야 하므로 오늘도 나는 이 복음을 전하러 항구에 가서 Sider Medeira호를 방문하여 선교미팅을 하였다. 선원들 반은 외출 나가고, 모인 선원들은 모두 8명이었으나, 중간에 작업하러 4명이 나가고, 마지막 4명이 남아서 영접기도를 하였다. 하나님께서 그들의 영혼들을 만져 주시고, 구원 하신 줄 믿는다.

Thetis Ship's Gospel Meeting (May 12, 2026):

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery" (Galatians 5:1). Jesus hung upon the cross and fully paid the price for our sins. Consequently, we Christians are no longer slaves to sin; rather, we are servants of righteousness and children of God. There are Christians who grasp this astonishing truth, and there are others who remain unaware of it, spending their entire lives in spiritual bo***ge. Thus, the Gospel is a Gospel of freedom. Today, desiring to share this liberating Gospel, I traveled to the harbor to visit the *Thetis* and shared the Good News with seven souls. On the vessel I visited today, the captain and officers were from Russia and Ukraine, while the general crew members were from the Philippines. Since some were on duty and others were resting, a group of six or seven crew members gathered together. They joyfully sang the hymns I taught them, listened attentively to the message, and subsequently received the Lord Jesus as their Savior. Their hearts were filled with joy. I presented them with Christian books, Bibles, and baseball caps as gifts, bringing them further delight. To God, who guided me once again today, be all the glory.

"그리스도께서 우리로 자유케 하려고 자유를 주셨으니, 그러므로 굳세게 서서 다시는 종의 멍에를 메지 말라."(갈5:1) 예수님은 자신이 십자가에 달려서 우리 죄의 값을 다 치루어 주셨다. 그리하여 우리 크리스챤들은 다시는 죄의 종이 아니라, 의의 종이요, 하나님의 아들이다. 이 놀라운 사실을 아는 크리스챤이 있고, 이 사실을 모르고 평생을 종노릇하는 사람도 있다. 그래서 복음은 자유의 복음이다. 오늘도 나는 이 자유의 복음을 전하고자 항구로 가서 Thetis호를 방문하였고, 7명의 영혼들에게 복음을 전하였다. 오늘 방문한 선박은 선장과 오피서들은 러시아 우크라이나 선원들, 일반 선원들은 필리핀 선원들이었다. 하지만 일부는 근무 중이었고, 일부는 휴식 중이었고, 남은 선원들 6-7명이 모였다. 그들은 내가 가르쳐주는 찬양을 즐겁게 노래하고, 메세지를 경청한 후 주 예수님을 그들의 구주로 영접하였다. 그리고 기쁨이 가득차게 되었다. 그들에게 크리스챤 서적들과 성경, 그리고 야구 모자를 선물로 주고 즐거움을 누리게 하였다. 오늘도 인도하신 하나님께 영광을 돌린다.

Tiberius Ship's Gospel Meeting (April 22, 2026):

The work of missions—specifically the saving of souls—demands a tremendous cost; at times, that cost may even require laying down one's own life. Such is the magnitude of missions' importance, and the saving of souls stands as an absolute command from the Lord. Indeed, my lifelong goal has been to do my utmost to save souls. It has already been five years since my wife and I moved here to Houston. During that time, I have visited over 500 vessels and shared the Gospel with more than 5,000 souls, guiding them to receive the Lord Jesus. Spring rains began falling a few days ago, and today, too, intermittent showers continued throughout the morning. As I headed to the port to visit a ship docked at the terminal, I found the highway completely gridlocked; the exit route leading to Highway 610 was under construction. Taking a detour, I finally managed to reach the terminal and board the vessel. Fortunately, the cargo unloading operations had concluded, and the crew members were resting after their dinner. I gathered the sailors together and commenced the Gospel meeting. While some crew members had gone ashore, nine remained and gathered for the meeting. We sang hymns accompanied by guitar, and I delivered the message. The sailors listened intently to my message, and ultimately, they all stood up together to receive the Lord Jesus. May God's grace be with them... Hallelujah!

영혼 구원하는 선교는 엄청난 대가를 치루어야 하고, 그 대가로 개인의 생명까지 내 놓아야 할 경우도 있다. 그만큼 선교는 중요하고, 영혼 구원은 절대적인 주님의 명령이다. 나도 최선을 다해서 영혼을 구원하려는 것이 나의 일생의 목표였다. 벌써 나의 아내와 내가 이곳 휴스턴으로 이사 온지도 5년이 흘렀다. 그동안 500여척 이상의 선박을 방문하였고, 5천여명 이상의 영혼들에게 복음을 전하여 주 예수님을 영접하도록 안내하였다. 며칠전부터 봄비가 내리기 시작하더니, 오늘도 오전부터 간간히 비가 내렸다. 터미널에 선박이 한 척 정박해 있어서 항구로 가는데, 고속도로가 꽉 막혔다. 610번으로 나가는 루트가 공사 중이었다. 다른 길을 돌아서 가까스로 터미널에 도착하여 선박에 올라갔다. 다행이 필드에는 하역작업이 끝나고 선원들이 저녁밥을 먹고 쉬고 있었다. 선원들을 모이게 하여 복음집회를 시작하였다. 일부 선원들이 외출을 나가고 9명이 모였다. 기타 반주로 찬양하고, 메세지를 전하였다. 선원들은 열심히 ㄴ마의 메세지에 귀를 기울이고, 마침내 주 예수님을 모두 일어서서 영접하였다. 그들에게 하나님의 은혜가 함께 하시기를 ... 할렐루야!

Evangelizing Vietnamese Sailors (April 15, 2026):

"How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?" (Romans 10:14). It is truly difficult for non-believers—those who have never even heard of who Jesus Christ is—to place their faith in Him. That is why those who proclaim the Gospel are so vital. Consequently, I strive to share the Gospel with sailors whenever and however I can. Today, I visited the harbor and called upon five trading vessels; however, I was only able to meet with some Vietnamese sailors and share the Gospel with them briefly. The ship is the *IVS Kestrel*. I also handed them a bundle of evangelistic booklets written in the Vietnamese language. My hope is that, even in the communist nation of Vietnam, many people will rise up to embrace the faith and receive salvation.

비엣남 선원들 전도(20260415) : "저희가 믿지 아니하는 이를 어찌 부르리요? 듣지도 못한이를 어찌 믿으리요? 전파하는 자가 없이 어찌 들으리요?"(로마서10:14) 예수 그리스도가 누군지 들어 본 적이 없는 불신자들은 정말 예수님을 믿기는 힘들다. 그래서 복음을 전하는 사람들이 중요하다. 그래서 나는 할 수 있는대로 선원들에게 복음을 전하려고 애를 쓴다. 오늘도 항구에 기서 5척의 무역선을 방문했으나, 단지 비엣남 선원들을 만나서 간단하게 복음을 전했다. 그 선박은 IVS Kestrel호이다. 그리고 그들에게 비엣남 언어로 된 전도 책자들을 한 묶음 전해 주었다. 공산국가 비엣남에도 많은 크리스챤들이 일어나 구원받았으면 좋겠다.

Ocean Princess' Gospel Meeting (April 2, 2026):

"He (Jesus) committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth; when He was insulted, He did not retaliate; when He suffered, He made no threats, but entrusted Himself to Him who judges justly. He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls." (1 Peter 2:22-25) Anyone who possesses the assurance of Jesus Christ's complete forgiveness of sins, atonement, and salvation is truly a blessed person. In truth, while we may bear witness to the Gospel, it is the Holy Spirit who instills that assurance within each individual. My mission is to visit ships, share this Gospel of complete salvation, and help at least one more soul become a citizen of Heaven. Yesterday, I went to the harbor and visited three ships; although I returned without being able to hold a meeting, I received a request from one vessel—the *Ocean Princess*—to visit again the following day. Consequently, I visited that ship today and held a Gospel meeting. As it turned out, twelve of the crew members had already gone ashore. Nevertheless, a total of nine people gathered, including the Greek Chief Engineer. I poured my whole heart into leading worship, delivering the message, and guiding them through the prayer of acceptance. My earnest desire was for them to encounter and discover the Lord Jesus, so I proclaimed the Gospel with a heart full of fervor. And then, the work of the Holy Spirit became manifest. A miracle of salvation took place! Hallelujah!

"그(예수)는 죄를 범하지 아니하시고 그 입에 거짓도 없으시며, 욕을 당하시되 맞대어 욕하지 아니하시고, 고난을 당하시되 위협하지 아니하시고, 오직 공의로 심판하시는 이에게 부탁하시며, 친히 나무에 달려 그 몸으로 우리 죄를 담당하셨으니, 이는 우리로 죄에 대하여 죽고 의에 대하여 살게 하려 하심이라. 그가 채찍에 맞음으로 너희는 나음을 얻었나니. 너희가 전에는 양과 같이 길을 잃었더니, 이제는 너희 영혼의 목자와 감독 되신 이에게 돌아왔느니라." (베드로전서 2:22-25) 누구든지 예수 그리스도의 완전한 죄사함과 속죄와 구원을 확신한다면 그는 정말 복을 받은 사람이다. 사실 우리가 복음을 증거하기는 하지만 각 사람에게 그 확신을 심어주시는 분은 성령님이시다. 나는 선박을 방문하여 이 완전한 구원의 복음을 전해서 한 영혼이라도 더 천국 백성이 되도록 돕는 것이 나의 사명이다. 어제 나는 항구에 가서 세 척의 번박을 방문하고, 집회도 못하고 돌아 왔으나, 한 선박(Ocean princess)에서 내일 다시 방문해 달라는 요청을 받고, 오늘 그 배를 방문하여 복음 집회를 하였다. 그런데, 오늘 12명의 선원들이 이미 외출을 하였다는 것이었다. 하지만 그리이스 기관장을 포함해서 모두 9명이 모였다. 나는 전력을 다해 찬양하고 메세지를 전하고, 영접기도를 드렸다. 나의 간절한 목적은 그들이 주 예수님을 만나고 발견하는 것이기에 간절한 마음으로 복음을 전했다. 그리고 성령님의 역사가 나타났다. 구원의 기적이 일어난 것이다. 할렐루야!

Sorsi Ship's Gospel Meeting (March 26, 2026):
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8). Christians who have received salvation by believing in Jesus as the Christ have been given the Holy Spirit as a gift; therefore, they are bound to live lives dedicated to reaching the ends of the earth to become witnesses for Jesus. The Gospel is not to be proclaimed under duress; rather, those who have received the Holy Spirit share the message naturally and spontaneously, out of a heart filled with gratitude for the gift of salvation. This is the normal Christian life. For the first time in a while, I visited the harbor today to share the Gospel aboard a ship. I visited the *Sorsi*, which had a crew consisting of an equal number of Turkish and Filipino sailors. I met the Turkish captain, exchanged greetings, and requested permission to hold a Gospel meeting; he happily granted my request. However, not a single Turkish sailor attended the meeting; only the Filipino sailors gathered. Their hearts were, as always, open and receptive; they sang hymns of praise, listened to the message, and joyfully received the Lord Jesus as their Savior. I then distributed gifts and Gospel booklets, led them in a prayer of acceptance, and offered a blessing. It was a time overflowing with God's grace.
"오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되리라 하시니라."(사도행전1:8) 예수를 그리스도로 믿어 구원 받은 크리스찬들은 성령을 선물로 받았으니, 반드시 땅끝까지 이르러 예수님의 증이 되는 삶을 살아야 한다. 복음은 억지로 전하는 것이 아니라, 성령 받은 사람들은 자연발생적으로 구원의 선물에 감사하는 마음으로 전도하는 것이다. 이것이 정상적인 그리스도인의 삶이다. 오랫만에 오늘 나는 항구에 가서 선박에서 복음을 전했다. Sorsi호를 방문했는데, 터키 선원들과 필리핀 선원들이 반반 승선해 있었다. 터키 선장을 만나 인사하고, 복음 집회를 요청했더니, 기쁘게 허락해 주었다. 하지만 집회에는 터키 선원들이 한명도 오지 않고, 필리핀 선원들만 모였다. 그들은 언제나 마음이 열려 있어서, 노래하고 찬양하고, 메세지를 듣고, 기쁘게 주 예수님을 구주로 영접하였다. 그리고 선물들과 복음 책자들을 선물로 나눠주고, 영접기도를 드리고 축복하였다. 하나님의 은혜가 충만한 시간들이었다.

Gospel meeting on the Portsmouth ship (20260304):

"Who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in his mouth. When he was reviled, he did not revile in return. When he suffered, he uttered no threats, but entrusted himself to him who judges righteously. He himself bore our sins in his own body on the tree, so that we, being dead to sins, might live for righteousness. By whose stripes you were healed. You were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls." (1 Peter 2:22-24) The timing of my visit to the Portsmouth ship today was perfect for a gospel meeting. Guided by God, I visited in the evening, and with the help of the kind captain, I was able to hold a gospel meeting with 13 crew members. The crew prepared their hearts, praised God, listened to the message, and accepted the Lord Jesus as their Savior. Evangelism is not my work; it is truly God's work. Glory be to God.
