A message from Rabbi Berlin (continued):
Additionally, our Shavuos night would not have been the same without the ruach and depth brought to the program by the yeshiva bochrim who visited for the Chag. A big yasher koach to them for learning with us and the teens throughout Shavuos night and for adding to our davening. We hope to see them back soon. Thank you as well to their hosts, the Sklover and Kohn families.
Thank you to my wife, Sara, for hosting people in our home and preparing all the meals for the Torah Tours guests. Thank you to the Grill family for hosting the Lawee family, and to the Mizrahi family for hosting our rabbinic intern, Rabbi Helfgot.
But Shavuos is not a one-night event. The Goldmeers ran a jam-packed Shavuos program. From cheesecake tasting to edible art projects of flowers and Har Sinai, it was a great success!
On the second day of Shavuos, our gala milchig kiddush had a great spread thanks to our sponsors: David Schwartz, the Berkowitz family, Fruchter family, Gurevich family, Maza family, and Siegel family. A special shout-out to our corporate sponsor, Natural & Kosher Cheese, for providing all the cheese for the kiddush.
We are grateful to the Sklover family for hosting the ladies’ shiur on Shavuos, as they do every Shabbos, graciously opening their home for the sake of Torah and community. Thank you to Michal Huttler for giving the shiur this past Shabbos.
Thank you again to all those who taught, hosted, and sponsored. Each one of these roles was crucial to the success of our Shavuos and helped elevate the Chag. Thank you to all those who participated in the events and learning opportunities. Our community becomes that much greater and closer when we all come together to share in our Torah learning and our simchas hachag.
Thank you to everyone who made this Shavuos so special. From the learning and youth events to the meals, flowers, and strong sense of community it was truly an unforgettable chag and I feel so blessed to be part of such a beautiful community.
