At the heart of CTGS we believe we are called as The Church to tend to those who have been wounded in the battlefield of life. To proclaim the good news to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom to the captives and release those trapped in darkness. By opening our doors, our lives and our hearts to those in need, we aim to live the true life of ‘Koinonia’, a Greek word used in th
e early Church that refers to the fullness of fellowship. It is a word the challenges us to participate together fully in life, uniting in our purpose, loving, serving, encouraging, honoring one another, praying, worshiping and walking the path of life together. Not least of all, we come together as we partake of the Sacrament of the Eucharist (Communion) where we unite as one Body in Christ. We do all this with the knowledge that it is God’s limitless Love in us that heals, not our own, and that as we tend to His lambs, He faithfully reveals Himself to us in the broken and humble of heart. As we encounter and serve ‘the least of these, His brethren’ He heals our own hurts, and so, in true ‘Koinonia’, we journey forth together in the path of healing. At CTGS we are prayerfully seeking God’s Grace to transform our own hearts as we surrender ourselves to Christ as vessels of His Hope, Healing, Truth and Love.
